Was there a question as to IF we were getting a big Storm?

Was there a question the temps were gonna drop?

Was there a question if the highways would need to be scraped of slush BEFORE IT FREEZES?

Nope!!

Once before I694 was allowed to freeze slush and ended up with about 6 inches of the stuff. I lost a transmission due to the hammering it took hitting those ruts.

Why didn't MnDOT act?

I think you ought to send Gov GoogleyEyes the bill for your transmission. It was his people, MNDOT, who didn't do the job properly.

Somebody's head should roll at MNDOT, but don't expect it to happen. The WARNINGS were there, the RADARS were operational, the FORECASTS were ACCURATE, and MNDOT sat on their hands until it was TOO LATE, just because they didn't, or couldn't, get their snowplow drivers out on a Saturday and Sunday. Somebody should ask the drivers what the EFF happened, but I suppose that if they told the truth, they would get fired or blackballed for LIFE.

Not Minnesota union workers.........remember when they caught the ST Paul pothole filling team sitting at a gas station for hours on "break" instead of filling potholes? Union prevented those lazy workers from being fired.........

The last time this happened MnDOT had to use road graders to scrape the layer of ice off 694.

The price for not removing it when it was slush.

You are right..

And don't forget Unions actually coined the term "Sandbagging".

The last thing they want to do is get anything done quickly. They always want to be short of staff to justify a need for more Union workers AND Overtime.

You see their leadership trains them on how to milk the overtime cow. A good example is documented in the St Paul Dispatch last sunday paper. It's about Fire Dept. managment and how they are working so much OT they make more money than the MAYOR of St Paul.

They do this to increase their retirement.

So they get MORE salary AND MORE retirement..

How can they go wrong????

And this will continue FOREVER!!!

MN is a cheap tax state? We pay more state and local taxes than 43 other states, so you are right that there is no connection.

Incompetence would mean they had, at some point, some level of competence to begin with, which is, at best, a huge stretch! Just fire them because they don't do their friggin job!

Mission IMPOSSIBLE, to fire a public union "worker".

The DFL WILL NOT ever reduce head count of public/union employees.

With a certified Libertard Governor and DFL controlled Legislature, the future is hopeless!!!

I.E. there is NO HOPE!
