You do have the right to push for the positions you believe correct. So do I. However, when your church gets involved, then they are not acting as a charitable organization and their tax exempt status should be repealed.

Funny how the "gay community" claims the bigot term as their own, yet use the term "mythical god". Is that not being a bigot by definition? Bigot.

Who's Michele Bachmann, didn't she used to be somebody?

I've seen some videos of a Marcus Bachmann, flouncing and sashaying and fluttering his hands. Is she somehow related to her, sorry, HIM?

Flamer,

Why did "I" turn the Thread into a Homosexual Deviant Issue?

Huh?

(From the Bi-line in the Article)

"Sierra DeMulder's slam poem, "To Michele Bachmann," lays bare the antigay animus that runs in the Congresswoman's family."

Ya know Woody, the Thread is about Homosexuals AND is distorted by you so that you can posture about how "Smart" you are as an Atheist, this does not mean that you get to "make it all about you".

A little help for you Woody.....

Rocket Scientist,

Google "Not for Profit" and discover a whole new world that you did not know existed!

These mostly Leftist/Collectivist/Victim Advocacy Groups that number in the 1000's, are Tax Exempt.

Of course WE should relish their Tax Exempt Status because "They are Politically Correct in the Bigotry and Collectivism.

Shucks, Amerika got a Well Spoken, and Articulate Black Man for President, who came from a position in a Tax Exempt Advocacy Group that existed to Race Hustle American Corporations for Mob Money.

nice cult ya got there...
To quote a famous American, "There you go again" inserting your summary into a statement that was made in addressing another question. Nice practice you got going there Woody. Could address the question of Church versus God, so you fall back on your old reliable, "Mythical God/Cult" It was weak when you started it and it has proven to be even weaker as we moved forward.

Oh, I see. If you ask a republican group to obey the law, it doesn't make you happy. You then complain that somehow someone else might have broken the law, so it is perfectly OK for you to be a law breaker as well. That is like saying, you should be allowed to rob banks because Bonnie and Clyde did.

Why not arrest them all. If they break the law, they should be stopped. I don't care which political party they belong to. If they break the law, it should be stopped.

I was planning on creating my own "non-profit." The rule is at least 80% of the money goes to "charity." When I collect $100, I will keep $20 and give $80 to my wife's charity, obeying the law. My wife will keep $16 and give $64 to my son's charity. He will keep $12.80 and give $51.20 to my daughter's charity. And so on and so on till we have about $1 left and that will be donated to somebody else's charity. It's all legal.

I seriously doubt that any laws will be followed. bush was obviously above the law. Obama continues so many of bush's policies that he is complicit in bush's crimes. Put them both in jail. Don't just complain that it's OK because the other side did it too.

<quoted text>well, they worship the same god as bachmann and the fools on this thread, so ...embrace them , i guess and let them do whatever they want becasue it is their god's word...
that's what niether the above would say..no matter what they do, his god will forgive them as it is his word....
And that is the problem with God's word. God's word has been used by people for centuries to convince others they should follow the leader, who is only doing God's will, and kill those bad guys who don't believe in God's will. Wars, and the worst evils of mankind have typically be done in God's name. When people give up their own free will to God's will, horrible things happen. God's will is typically "what my minister/rabbi/spiritual leader says."

I am not blaming any God here, just to say that people use it to do the most horrible things.

our entire country was founded on the concept of lobbying.

the civil rights supporters were lobbyists. the suffragettes were lobbyists. the OWS people were lobbyists.(ineffective ones, but hey...)

why would you want to eliminate peoples ability to lobby their representatives?

One...What does Republican have to do with anything?

Two...Neither the Political Entities, or the Churches are "Breaking the Law" by advocating for what they believe.

Three...Bush Law?....Obama Law?

Four.....The Messiah's Handlers have doubled down on Bush's infringements with the Patriot Act and all the nasties associated with it....That has nothing to do with the use of Non-Profits where employees become millionaires by the use of "Charitable Donations"........ Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Louie Farrakhan, Rev Wright, and all the Feminist Victims Non Profits. How much Income that SHOULD be confiscated in Taxes is stolen by these Self Serving Non-Profits....You Demokrats SHOULD be outraged!

Five..."The Law" is not about Right and Wrong, it is about Legal and Illegal.

Right and Wrong have been so distorted in an effort to accommodate every member of Amerika's Officially Recognized Victim Classes, that only Newspeak is appropriate to describe the reasons for Law, and not Morality.....as we see from this Thread dominated by Immoral Citizens.
