They didn't need any permits. They just called the Minneapolis Police Department, told them what they wished to do and why, and got the ok.

I guess I would have thought a better solution would be to clear the snow off the panels rather than forcing them to fail.

Did the winter storm cause the Dome to deflate or was it purposely deflated to avoid wind damage? The workers were taken off the roof when the winds started kicking up. If the Dome WAS deflated purposely, that would explain the damage to the panels. Looks like a cereal bowl and all of the ice and snow fell to the bottom of the 'cereal bowl'. Why were KMSP TVs cameras rolling at 5 o'clock in the morning? Something to give some thought to.

Why didn't the police arrest the shooter, confiscate his gun, break into his house, search his computers and release to the media every embarrassing thing they found?

Isn't that standard treatment for gun owners?

100% pure conspiracy. Nothing more and nothing less. You watch your Tax dollars are going to fund Ziggy's next millions in income.

Now they are playing the "Fear Card". Concerned for the safety of the Fans my arse. Their only concern is how little they can invest to make as much as they possibly can. The American way, the foundation of our prosperity only difference is all other businesses have to do it without the aid of hardworking Minnesotans Tax Dollars. They earn it.

We need a separation of Sports and State.

Can't wait to see how much Marky Dayton throws down out of his little trust fund. Oh wait why would he use his money when he can use ours?

Where do I send a donation to help them move out of this State.

I keep hearing about a new stadium. How about a new idea: remove (waste) rethink (the plan) reduce (costs) RENEW & RENOVATE the dome!

Take this opportunity to REINVEST by figuring out if it is monetarily feasible to add another 100'(or more, idk) UP and add revenue/box suites/etc. in the spaces above. maybe another concourse level, expansion outside (extra shade, too, like a big patio type thing for vendors/smokers upstairs?) and a retractable roof. Raining? so what. Snowing? Ok. close'er up! you , as the owner/operators choose!

Just a thought from a Minnesotan who is tired of the whining from all sides about a 'new' stadium! I decided you needed a solution before I joined in the chorus.

I believe that renovation of the Dome has been rejected by the Vikings.
