So, who is actually surprised that this teachers union values their pensions and other union perks, more than their students?
If this ever happens in Minnesota we should strom the castle with torches and pitch forks.

You can rest assured that a similar action will never take place in Minnesota.

Here is why: The single line item veto used by Gov GoogleyEyes in the last budget was striking out $1.5 million that was allocated for Teach for America. This is a program where young bright eyed education graduates of the most elite universities in the country go into inner city schools and teach for up to one year.

They bring with them fresh ideas and enthusiasm that is not a part of the current teaching curriculum. They have some marvelous success stories from some of the worst inner city schools in the hell holes known as America's largest cities.

But Education Minnesota, the Minnesota teacher's union, opposed these young optimists with all their might and everyone knows that in the DFL legislature and in Gov GoogleyEyes office "What Education Minnesota wants, Education Minnesota gets."

This was the ONLY line item veto.

Now, if you were a foundation with billions of dollars to give away trying to improve education across the country, would you bring any of it to Minnesota when they just demonstrated that the teacher's union runs the show and new ideas are not welcome here?

The answer is not just no, but "Hell no!"

Education Minnesota - like all teacher's unions - really doesn't give a sh*t about improving the education provided to the kids. Their job is to maximize membership levels and pay within the union.

OMG! The angry white guy strikes again. Let me help you there AWG. Go to that Google thingy on your computer. Do the following:

1. Look up the MN State Budget signed by Gov GoogleyEyes on May 24, 2013.
2. Look up what single item was line item vetoed from that budget.
3. Look up Teach for America.
4. Look up the editorial in the STrib written by Tom Dooher, Prez of Education MN, and see what he says about Teach for America.
4. Go run and hide again because you will see that what I said is 100% correct.

Have fun with your learning adventure there AWG.

Don't hold your breath sir. AWG/FBG is not about facts. He'd rather let you do it so he can call you a liar and a racist.
