And Governor goofy was quick to address the state and reaffirm the Medtronic sale would actually increase the number of employees in Minnesota.

Medtronic CEO: Minnesota is still our home - we just aren't going to be paying as much taxes to the state as we used to...

Media today said the tax rate for Medtronic in Ireland will be 12.5% in Minnesota the rate is 35%. Don't know what that does to the bottom line but I'll bet it will mean BILLIONS in additional profit for Medtronic.

Remember the Delta purchase of NWA, RIP, the State said they would never leave Minnesota OR they would have to pay back some loan the State made to NWA, was around $100,000,000. Well Delta aquired NWA and than removed as much from Minnesota as they wanted to and did what they had to to resolve the debt, bottom line NWA GONE!! That will be the course of action Medtronic takes, won't happen overnight but over time they will reduce their footprint in Minnesota. Meanwhile Obama and Gov Goofy will tout their fantastic social programs and all the junk they build with taxes and at some point the taxes will run out, what then Libertards?

The "official" spin is that with Medtronic moving to Ireland for lower taxes the company will be able to save tons of money with lower taxes. So they can use that cash to invest in R&D in Minnesota creating thousands of new jobs.

So what level of Government will get less tax revenue?

If Medtronic is paying less taxes then some level of Government is getting less taxes. Suspect it's the additional burden the ACA placed on Federal taxes. This is another result of the ACA, guess like watching paint dry we are seeing the affects of the ACA over time.

As Joe Bite me said this is a BIG F(*&^ing Deal, when President Obama signed the ACA into law.

Bottom line, the USA Federal Government will see a net reduction in BILLIONS from the Medtronic move to Ireland.

Part of Joe Bite me BIG DEAL!

Agreed it's a BIG DEAL, that should be repealed!!

Mr. CLUELESS

“I’m troubled by the trend of big companies exploiting loopholes to pay little or no taxes in the United States — often saving themselves billions of dollars — while small businesses and individual taxpayers are left to pick up the tab,” Democratic Sen. Al Franken of Minnesota said in a statement to the Star Tribune.

Word - especially from Albert Franken - are cheap and meaningless. Actions speak far louder than words.

Big businesses have owned the Democrat Party for years. You think Barack Obama came up with the "too big to fail" phrase all on his own?
