They probably just shoplifted the shovels. Using self-checkout would involve a modicum of intelligence and the desire to actually part with money, neither of which was likely present in these idiots.

The grieving father could very well have been a father who was facing having his child looking at life in prison. Wouldn't he want a second chance to have these children rehabilitated? This incident happened within 15 miles of my home, so it is close to me. And it doesn't make sense to just imprison youths like this who have no chance at rehabilitation in prison. Intense counseling and monitoring is the answer. We cannot pull these youths out of school programs when they may be near a turning point in their lives. It just doesn't make sense to throw all that progress away.
You want them rehabilitated? Let them live with you and your family. Nowhere near mine.

Intense counseling? Monitoring? Near a turning point?

Throw away WHAT progress?

All these animals need to be executed publically. THEN the quality of life in that neighborhood will go up just a little.

We all need to grow a pair and call things as we see them. Gang colors, shovels, teens... "Where's the body?" might have been a more appropriate question.

I plainly see who you people are. You are the same people who cheer when the police murder "suspects". These same people never get their day in court because they were shot by the police. They had families, and friends, just like you. But their life was cut down because of one mistake, and they just tried to get away. You are also the tools of the right, who support corporations that exist only to make money off the backs of the poor. Yes, I voted for Franken. Yes, I vote DFL, because we have a grim future when all that matters is money. People without jobs deserve an income as much as the "haves" in this society.

If wealth was more evenly distributed, there would not be nearly the violence there is today. The right will never understand that, so the DFL is the way to a better future for everyone.

Fine. Let's see your plan. I'll start the scenario for you. Tell us how Target could have prevented this specific tragedy from happening. I want to know how Target is responsible for three parasites killing someone in their attempt to join a gang. Go ahead.

Please stop posting. You are an embarrassment to the DFL party and making me want to switch sides. These animals deserve the death penalty for what they did. Too bad MN doesn't have one. Just because they are kids, doesn't mean they didn't know what they were doing. They knowingly and willingly killed another human being to jump a gang (become a member of the gang for those uninformed). Thank goodness most of the Dems I know don't feel as you do in this situation, regardless of what the right posts about us.

I absolutely am NOT joking. This is a very serious societal ill and it is bourne of imprisonment, and a depletion of opportunity for inner city youth. The blood of this murder is on the hands of the right who would rather create a job by building a prison than giving that money to school and social programs designed to keep youth out of prisons.
What has Target done for inner city youth? What has Medtronic done? What has any company really done except grab money for themselves. When they do that and none is given to programs, what choices to these youth have? Are they supposed to get jobs for $8 an hour when they can make more dealing drugs and prostitution? We have not given these youth enough to work for, and therefore it is the fault of society, especially the right who work for greedy corporations.
You seem to be mentally unable to grasp the concept that these trash ARE A DIRECT RESULT of decades of "social programs". How far down this road do we all need to go before that is clear to you? There are now multiple generations raised to learn that nothing is their fault, you don't need to work or be responsible because you get more free money by having more babies. Once you have the babies, you don't need to care for them or guide them because there are free "social programs" that will do that for you. And the cycle goes on and on...

Do I expect them to work for $8/hour. OF COURSE I DO! That is what responsible kids raised in responsible households with responsible parents do and have always done. What you will be surprised to learn is that most of these responsible families are NOT products of "social programs" but instead work towards a responsible life. They get what they pay for instead of it handed to them.

After decades of this cycle, it seems that society has learned its lesson and your prized voter buying scheme may be ending - I certainly hope so. We will probably see an increase in these episodes as this entire generation has to learn from scratch how to RESPONSIBLY take care of themselves but it is something we will have to deal with to break this endless cycle.

Your beliefs are circa 1960's and it didn't work then either...so ignorant to the ways of the world. Nobody winds up like these kids or shot by police (in your example) by making just ONE mistake. Your childlike view is stunning. Thankfully I and most folks don't have to concern ourselves with you competing for a job...no worries.

regarding your previous post, when i was a young child of 5 or 6 i knew that killing was wrong, these boys were 14 - 16 yrs old. I had parents who were not afraid to disciplie me for my errors, that is how you learn, my guess these boys were not in a 2 parent household and the parent in charge did not teach them a thing except to take what they want by any means necessary....this is the problem today!

These children are too young to know what they did was wrong. These are young lives that still have the chance to return to innocence and have a normal life. There needs to be some intense rehabilitation for these youths, NOT prison.
This is a golden opportunity to show the world that it can be done. They are just kids who were steered in the wrong direction, and we as a society have a responsibility to correct that direction.
Too young to know what they are doing? What do we wait until they are 25 and have killed 5 more people????? I knew at 17, that killing someone was wrong!!!!!!!!! Yes they should be put away for life.

i think a couple of spankings could have helped these kids in the begining. we should stop letting other races tell us how to raise our kids. we should be doing old school, and letting other adults such as the schools take part in these kids life. rather than waiting for this to happen or the police to beat or kill them in the end because of the disrespect taught by the other races for adults. PARENTS,AUNTS,UNCLES,BROTHERS, AND SISTERS LET'S GET BACK TO LOVING OUR KIDS....

It's all about making "good" choices, i.e. moral and ethical, and taking responsibility for your life.
Yes, getting a job paying 8 bucks an hour (they are teenagers) would be better than dealing drugs or prostitution.

It is plain that you see NOTHING plainly.

I cheer when the police shoot a suspect? Please, show me proof of that. Or, are you just another emotional liberal moron. We all know the answer to that question.

One mistake? Oh, I think a little investigation will find that these were not straight A students, involved in student government, soccer and summer mission trips.

A "tool" of the right. You are just a "tool". Period. You really need to get out of your Wimmins studies class more...or even at all.

"...who support corporations that exist only to make money off the backs of the poor..." spoken like a true moron. Who will generate the revenue so you can redistribute it? Government? Great plan! We can all quit our jobs and the Feds can just print more money! You are beyond a moron. You are brain dead.

"People without jobs deserve an income as much as the "haves" in this society." Why? They are not working to earn it like the rest of us. Grow up. Maybe you should get a job! Your dad did, and then wasted that money sending you to ballet and craft classes instead of taking history and economics. Have your parents seen your report card yet? Your credit card statement?

"If wealth was more evenly distributed, there would not be nearly the violence there is today.". Ever heard of the United Soviet Socialist Republic (USSR)? Why don't you use that new thing on your computer called Google and check out the violence and standard of living that existed from pre-1917 until the 1980's. It was 70 some years of feudal wars, Russian Mafia and genocide. I am sure that Czar Nicholas' family is a HUGE fan of Stalin, Lenin and Trotsky.

Please, keep posting...I am forwarding your posts to my children and even they are laughing!
