Why doesn't Favre and the NFL security chief just exchange text messages? Save a lot of travel expense....

Good- let's put this drivel behind us and move on. Although I don't know the whole story- I'm surprised that Sterger appears to be passing on her 15 minutes. Let's hope the massage therapists who I read are lawyering up do the same. I'm not trying to minimize sexual harassment or anything but I feel if there would have been anything substantive to this- it would have come out before now.

I'm liking what I'm seeing right now in the Bears and Pukers stumbling along and we are keeping pace playing mediocre football at best. I hope the injury bug stays away and we start peaking in December and getting really dangerous in January.... Go Vikes!!!!!!

Getting called in to the Principal's office; I hate it when that happens. Hopefully, we'll put all this nonsense in the rearview mirror. Skol Vikings.

Favre's football participation should be kept separate from his personal off the field business. I think a suspension from his employment would be unjustified merely for sending questionable photos etc. If a criminal act occured that may be different but if it didn't , interruption of one's employment shouldn't happen.

I think it is insane that something like this was brought up 2 years later. Why now and not then. I say address it when it happens, otherwise let it go. Why does the media always have to try and tear apart peoples lives for the sake of a few lines in the news.

I will admit that the Packers will probably get thier asses handed to them Sunday night. But, that does not take away from the fact that Favre turned into a dirt bag. Do I think he should be punished for the text messages. NO, But, big bob brought up a good point. Favre will need to answer to his wife, his children, and more important, his God.

Of course, you're totally convinced he's guilty. Has it ever occured to you that just possibly he's not or even if he is, that he's already confessed this to his wife, children and his God and they've moved on? A lot can happen in 2 years.

What?
You come here to tell us your team will lose, but Brett has turned into a dirt bag.

Thanks for the entertainment, packer fans are a steady stream of jocularity.

"Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned" What a shame. I really do not believe he'd send such images if there were not some sort of mutual descretion at the time. He likely realized he loved his wife, ended the relationship & now this woman is seeking some sort of revenge. Get over it! What do you expect when getting involved with a married man! Duh! In some twisted way, Bret is the victim here! Not to mention his wife. Bless her heart for putting up with all of this!
Some things need to be kept private. Let it go media!

The result of this inquiry will depend on the facts, and on the commissioner's interest in making brownie points with women. I don't think the commisioner is nearly as interested in facts as he is in PR. As Viking fans, we can only hope Brett is the only one who talks. If there is even remotely believable evidence against him, suspension follows.

I do find it strange that he is meeting with the NFL security, namely an ex FBI agent, why? why is he not meeting with Goodell? If this story has any weight I would think he would want to meet with him personally.
Boy,, just imagine if he's meeting with security because his identity has been stolen, If a bogus person sent the text and pics and they are investigating that specific person? trying to figure out who did it and what else they might have done,, hypothetical I know,, but what if?
Just seems strange he's meeting with security.
I am aware of a person that set up a bogus facebook page pretending to be Favre, and managed somehow to gain personel info on him that he had posted on the page, Why? who knows, attention I guess. and the facebook page has been taken down and the person is having to answer some questions.
Knowing this happened so easily, its hard to tell what else can happen.

Goodell is next if there is any thing substantive to the story. Two years ago is a long time things may have changed and nobody can remember what they saw unless it was substantive.

The problem stems from a poorly written text message. Sterger heard Favre could be a little nutty sometimes, you know, singing pants on the ground, butt slapping, etc. She meant to text Brett a message saying, "Show me you're nuts". Instead, poor spelling and grammar led to the message "Show me your nuts". So he did. Just one big misunderstanding. Can we get back to football now?

You know what makes me laugh ? The broads that come to this board are certain that Favre is not guilty. Brett would NEVER do that !!! Do you still believe that Tiger Woods is innocent too ? Come on. Grow some brains ye women of Minnesota....
