So much for stricter gun laws. They have just been rendered completely ineffective.(well, almost)

Inaccurate, expensive, and like a zip gun...

Does the pistol work? Yes, it can be fired at least once without damage to the body of the gun or the person at the trigger. Andy Greenberg at Forbes has seen the gun fire multiple times and the video above shows one shot.

Is it a real pistol? No. This is more of a zip gun than a pistol. Zip guns were improvised firearms made of tubes, rubber bands, and nails. Kids fool-hardy enough to shoot one (this cohort included my own father who showed me how to make them) were promised a second of hair-raising and potentially deadly excitement when they made zip guns out of pipe and rubber. To fire one, you fitted the cartridge into the pipe and pulled back on the nail attached to the rubber band. If it hit the charger properly the bullet would fire. A similar thing is happening here: a spring-loaded nail is hitting a cartridge.

The barrel of the gun is threaded but I wouldn’t expect this weapon to be very accurate. Think of this gun as a controlled explosion generator. It uses a very small .380 caliber bullet which is deadly, to be sure, but quite small.

Dearest Iddiot,

If you ask, I will tell you how to make Zip Guns like I did when I was 10 Years old.

It will only be accurate to about 15 feet, but how long are your Arms?....and how far is it to your Temple

this is old news
plans for guns and gun parts have been available for over a year
you don't need to print the whole gun either.
just the parts that have a serial number
there are videos on ar15's (simi auto) firing multiple shots on youtube
you can buy the barrels and other parts at any gun shop without a background check.
ironic isn't it?
in the same school district where middle school kids have been expelled for pointing a paper gun and saying bang, right across town at the HS they are printing working gun parts with school provided 3D printers and school provided internet connections in art class.
one student even got an "A" for a gun part by telling the teacher it was a replacement part for an air brush.
so the feds are goint to pass a new law banning printing of plastic guns?
really?
the kids know those plans will be yanked, they already have them copied to (school provided) DVD's and they are already on the torrents.
so, why spend 8,000 bucks for a 3d printer? the government already provides them in many schools along with free hand sanitizer to make all the booze you care to drink.

It's not difficult to make a weapon that shoots a projectile just like a firearm produced by a firearms company.

However terrorists would rather make an explosive device. Terrorists want a BIG disaster not a few dead. Only a bomb can kill and injure hundreds in one short event.

Even YOU can do it Psychotic, it is simple, I will post it for you. Me and the other children, made them as children...and not one of us children EVER grew up to hurt anyone.

When you are ready for the "Big Trip to the Light", lemme know.

I am all about helping out my fellow man.

Look into the cost of 2d printers, then learn to program it... Easier to make a pipe bomb....
