This is part of the reason why no civilized person should ever live in the City of Minneapolis.

According to Mpls City Council President Barbara Johnson, they had trouble closing down this establishment because "People have rights and if you violate those rights we’d sure hear about it.”

Are f-ing kidding me?

Here is an excerpt from the article:

The city sent a warning letter on Nov. 30 ordering the club to cease illegal use of the building as a motorcycle club. On Jan. 9, the city issued a $200 fine for not complying with written orders. On Feb. 25, regulators issued a $400 fine after police discovered a large party on the premises with alcohol, despite the owner not having a liquor license. Three days later, regulators issued a $400 citation for again not complying with orders.

The city sent its last warning just a week before the gunfire early Friday that killed cousins Erick Felton, 23, and Demetrius Harper, 32.

Johnson said the after-hours club has been difficult to stamp out.

“The police find the fliers on Facebook or e-mails, and they’ll pass [fliers] out at bars,‘Come to this address if you want to keep partying,’ ” said Johnson.

“I think we took the actions that we needed to take,” Johnson said.

This is pathetic. If the cops pull up to an after hours club, they need to shut it down. Now. And the City needs to do everything in their power to insure it stays closed. Not just sending out letters and fines.

There is no mistaking an after hours club in a commercial building with 100+ drunken people still drinking at 4:00 AM.

Minneapolis is a cesspool for a lot of reasons. The City Council happens to be one of the major reasons.

I see, you want due process to work at your schedule, oddly ...your effort to make it happen is useless. It's really too bad, since you're obviously a real go getter... for the 2 hours and 15 minutes you "worked"

Either that or we need better gun laws, since it flew under YOUR radar, til the shooting. Of course, it's nice to second guess, under multiple monikers, too.

I wonder if they actually paid any of those fines? The article doesn't say unless I missed that part. I'm guessing not.

Agree, if COPs witness an illegal activity occuring a reasonable expectation would be that it would be shut down. Once it's shut down it would be reasonable to expect the COPs to visit the building going forward to ensure it stays shut down.

If you are out on a freeway at 3 AM with NO TRAFFIC and decide to drag your buddy to see who has the faster car, ANY COP WILL give you a BIG ticket.

In the case of a disorderly house in NORTH MUDERAPOLIS it should for sure be shut down. No wonder why there are so many murders in Muderapolis, the phocking place is out of control...

Avoid Muderapolis at all costs..

Seattle suffers from ADD, and ADHC.

The only way to get rid of him is to ignore him. Don't respond to his comments. Unless of course you enjoy interacting with a pissant.
