I think this is a great idea for Nancy. It will be fun to see if the remaining dem house members are foolish enough to continue to support her as their leader.

So the historic seat swing of 60 seats apparently isn't enough of a wake up call to the democratic party that her leadership isn't what the American people wanted?

You just can't fix stupid like the saying goes. Okay let her run things and see how it works out this time I guess. At some point in time I hope they realize if you just quit beating your head against the wall the pain WILL STOP.

Something I would expect from an irrational, illogical, demagogue I guess. It's absolutely unbelievable that she would even consider making such a statement. Her career, in effect, is over for all practical purposes. And I thought that Hillary was bad. Wow.

I can see it now:

"hi, I am Nancy Pelosi, and I want your vote for House Minority leader, it should have been majority leader, its all Obama's fault".

It worked for the Republicans, maybe it will work for her. She sure can't be elected to the leadership post on her record.

Electing her as minority leader would be the best thing she could do for the party...the republican party that is. She was a big part of the dead weight that brought so many dems down this election [the first good thing she's ever done for this country]. If she wants to continue to sink the ship, I say let her. It'll be the second good thing she's done for the country.

At least her skank tail will have to take the greyhound instead of a military flight. lol She is absolutely reprehensible! If the Dems keep her in, it just shows how stupid they all are! It even appears from the papers that the Republican O'Connell has even wised up about standing up to Obama.. Maybe the Republicans are faster learners. lol

The Poster Witch for clueless, arrogant, unaccountable politicians. She is the best thing that could happen for GOP, independents, and plastic surgeons who do fake ta-ta's.

Sheesh! Stupid is as stupid does, I suppose.

Is she nuts? She really doesn't realize just how much she's disliked by the rest of the country? Good Lord, she's already gotten more than half the blue dog Democrats defeated. What's her goal, no Democrats in the House from any southern or mid-wesstern states? That's what's going to happen.

Go for it, Nancy! Nothing like an aging politician who doesn't realize her time has passed.

Note to Democrats: You might want to think about how smart it is to have San Francisco liberal representing your party at the national level.

I just read a blurb that really speaks to the Nancy's Pelosi character and underscores her hypocrisy.
Here's what it said...
Nancy Pelosi's home district includes San Francisco . StarKist Tuna's headquarters are in San Francisco , Pelosi's home district. StarKist is owned by Del Monte Foods and is a major contributor to Pelosi. StarKist is the major employer in American Samoa employing 75% of the Samoan work force. Paul Pelosi, Nancy 's husband, owns $17 million dollars of StarKist stock. In January, 2007 when the minimum wage was increased from $5.15 to $7.25, Pelosi had American Samoa exempted from the increase so Del Monte would not have to pay the higher wage. This would make Del Monte products less expensive than that of its competitors. Last week when the huge bailout bill was passed, Pelosi added an earmark to the final bill adding $33 million dollars for an "economic development credit in American Samoa "
Pelosi has called the Bush Administration "CORRUPT" and many other things !!! How do you spell "HYPOCRISY" ? SHE'S SHAMELESS....>>

That is truely amazing.$17MM in Starkist stock? I wonder how they would hide that money? Oh, wait a minute, that's wealth. The Dems don't tax wealth, just income. Right Mr. Dayton
