Police say a woman fatally stabbed her cousin's cat and left it on its back after she was kicked out of the cousin's apartment Friday night in the Woodlawn neighborhood on the South Side.
Tish Coleman, 31, of the 6400 block of South Maryland Avenue, was charged with felony aggravated cruelty to an animal and misdemeanor domestic battery, said Chicago Police Department News Affairs Officer Laura Kubiak.
Coleman is expected to appear in court at midday on the felony charge.
