Finding out cancer is in it's own way a wake-up call that one needs to spend more time with family. Part of that is being around for one's offspring to see them growing up.
It lets one know what one's priorities should be. First family, then friends, then job.
Too many parents thinking that by being nothing more than a paycheck is what their family wants from them. NOPE. Kids and the spouse in many cases would rather see the person being in their lives than at work. Being able to create new memories with that person.
