WASHINGTON ó A KSTP poll out Monday shows Sen. Al Franken with at least an eight point lead over his GOP rivals.

Franken holds 49 percent-41 percent leads over state Sen. Julianne Ortman and St. Louis County Commissioner Chris Dahlberg. His edge over businessman Mike McFadden is 10 points, 50 percent to 40 percent. Two other candidates trail by wider margins.

The poll of 545 registered voters (crosstabs here) comes just a few weeks after a Star Tribune poll gave Franken a 55 percent approval rating, with disapproval ratings creeping up into the mid-30s. Franken's approval rating was underwater with independents in that poll, and he actually trails the top three Republicans with those voters in the KSTP survey, though he's within the poll's 4.3 percent margin of error.

Al is considered the least likely among all senators to reach across the aisle to cosponsor a bipartisan bill.

https://www.govtrack.us/congress/members/alan...

AND he is worried about state Senator Julianne Ortman after Palin endorsed her.

So, what do you do when you are trying to win reelection? You beg for more money:

In his plea for funds from his progressive base, the New York City-born Franken went on to list a series of threats to his re-election aside from Palin's endorsement.

"The Supreme Court just demolished one of the few spending limits we had left, removing the overall limit on how much wealthy individuals can spend on candidates," he wrote. "The Koch-backed attack group running ads against me just put out a new poll showing two of my Republican opponents within single digits ó and, regardless of whether you trust their numbers, itís sure to egg on more right-wing attacks."

Big Al now has a war chest reserve of almost $6 million as his re-election attempt draws closer. No challenger can get their hands on that kind of money. Can any of them still take him on?

Maybe. Did Al actually do anything in his recent tenure as Senator? Was he even vaguely effective? Did he submit any bills that actually passed? The answer to all of these questions is...no, not really.

Remember the Libertards control a winning majority of voters in Minnesota.

They gather up Liberal voters and get them to the polls. It will happen again this fall.

Remember they OWN:

Unemployed
Gay
Women wanting free birth control (whore enablers)
Union
Government employees
Welfare
Minorities
Environmentalists
EBT, Food Stamp, Section 8, Cash stipend people
Those who don't want to work
Those who want a liberal Judicial system
Gun haters
Illegal immigrents

Add them all up and the Liberals WILL WIN in Minnesota...

He vote with Obama 100% of the time. Now, as a last desperate attempt to get votes, he is coming out against the Comcast bill.

Well of course he is. Because if Time Warner and Comcast merge, no one will ever have a choice to choose satellite, netflix, hulu, broadcast television, or anything else ever again. We will all be forced to deal with Comcast/Time Warner.
