Alexis served in the U.S. Navy for almost four years before he was discharged in 2011 for 'misconduct'

It has been reported he was kicked out of the U.S. Navy because of an arrest for discharging his own gun in 2010

Police and FBI in the capital have said that there could be one other gunman dressed in military fatigues on the loose

Search on for man described as being five-foot-ten inches tall, African-American and brandishing a long gun

You were premature with this post. The POS did get an honorable discharge.

A military official said that before discharging Alexis honorably, the Navy had been pursuing a general discharge against him.(Chicago Tribune)

Either way he was forced out!

Yes, but the honorable discharge gave him the ability to get security clearance.
I think he would have committed his crime somewhere else if he didn't get into the Navel Yard, though.

This is another case where the Government was informed of the shooters threats and once again the threats were ignored. The Boston bombing was another example.

It's like bugs- when you have an infestation, you only see a few-@ first.

Yet, EVERYbody sees a few bugs now & then, correct? That's a lot of "few bugs".

How to distinguish a "few" that are random, versus the few that "pop up" and are actually ready, willing, & capable of posing a REAL threat.

How many agents do you think it would take, working for "the Government", to make sure no nutcases, kooks, cranks, crazies, or random "snapped"s will take that chance?

Lotta bugs too stupid, too wacky, too late for their own funeral running around wanting to "take some sunsabidges with me when I go!"
