Mayors Reportedly Preparing Boycott of Gun Manufacturers

Minnesota Public Radio reports that Mayor R.T. Rybak of Minneapolis has said that he and 60 other mayors are considering boycotts of gun makers who don't agree to their sweeping list of gun control demands.

Rybak wants to go back to 6 round revolvers for his police department!!! He should require the police to go back to single shot muzzle loaders too, after all that’s all they had when the 2A was written right.

Any Mayor that supports a boycott or ban on any gun, ammo, magazine or weapons component should be boycotted by the ammo and gun manufactures. When their police departments can’t replace their weapons or ammo maybe they’ll grow a set and tell their Mayor to butt out.

THEN there was the shootout in Florida where agents died because the bad guys had gun that would penetrate and kill?

Remember when a shooter perched on a tower in Texas shooting at everyone. The COPs were outgunned and their reenforcements were the local hunters who quickly grabbed their big game rifles and pinned the criminal down?

The last thing I want is the COPs outgunned!

Of course their mentality is: how many shots does it take to kill a murderer? These mayors are clueless and don't understand if you run out of ammo in a wheel gun and need to reload you might die.

And how very foolish this is since it will only lead to more crime since criminals will not obey the laws anyway. And our right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. And no those who have criminal records should not have them. But they should not be targeting honest , law-abiding citizens or the gun manufacturers since it is not the who did the crimes but the individual murdurers. And instead the mayors should be promoting more death penalty for murdurers and allowing more guns for citizens to be allowed since then they can protect themselves and their families. Sincerely ;

Actually, the FBI switched to 10mm a bit less than 20 years ago when it was a new round. I think now they are using 40SW although ballistically they are quite similar.

While Rybak is at it, why not tell Federal Cartridge to leave the state and eliminate a few more jobs.

The gun manufacturers should retaliate by quadrupling the price they charge these cities law enforcement agencies for weapons and ammunition. That'll learn 'em.

How about the gun companies refuse to sell guns to these cities? Let's see the mayors security team protect them with sharp sticks and rocks. Gun companies are at record sales right now so they could do just fine without sales to anti-rights politicians but let's see how long the politicians last without guns for their police forces.

I know several cops who used to carry 9mm who now carry either .45 ACP or .40 S&W. NYC cops carry 9mm with a 12lb. trigger.
