A Louisiana pastor was shot and killed during a Friday night revival service, and authorities say a suspect has been arrested.

Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Kim Myers says the shooting occurred about 8:20 p.m. Friday at Tabernacle of Praise Worship Center in Lake Charles.

Myers says a gunman walked into the church and shot Pastor Ronald J. Harris Sr. "as he was preaching." Harris was pronounced dead at the scene.

Myers says 53-year-old Woodrow Karey of Lake Charles is charged with second-degree murder and was held in the parish jail Saturday.

Myers says authorities are investigating and have not determined a motive for the shooting.

The shooter had no crimainal record. I'm not a member of the NRA, but how is this crime their fault?

Suspect Schmahl is hitting the sauce again.

The NRA is to blame for promoting lax gun control laws.

It's not Wade.(but, you knew that didn't you) Once again the media, and the people who have no respect for the second amendment, have completely evaded the fact that the shooter is the one responsible. No one else. Millions of gun owners who have never fired a shot at another human would agree. It's not the gun but the fool who wields it that is responsible for the deaths of others.
