Back a few years ago, Ms. Cherryholmes was President of the Mpls City Council and one of the biggest critics of the Minneapolis Police Department.

She was screaming for Chief John Laux to be fired because his officers were thumping heads and brutalizing the innocent citizens - according to Ms. Cherryholmes.

Ms. Cherryholmes also was a big advocate for not allowing any citizen of the City of Minneapolis to own a gun. Any gun. Guns are evil.

Then one day, a very scary man broke into Ms. Cherryholmes house in North Minneapolis. She grabbed her phone and ran into a closet to hide. She dialed 911 and wanted the biggest, baddest, and ugliest cops in Mpls to rush to her aid to kill this person that dared to break into her house.

The cops showed up. The guy was long gone - hearing her screams from inside the closet scared the guy off, I guess.

But Ms. Cherryholes was livid that it took all of 45 seconds for the first patrol car to arrive. The next day, she told Chief Laux that she wanted the intruder's head on a platter and delivered to her desk at City Hall - and she wanted it that very morning.

Oh, and from that day forward, she had a licensed handgun in her house.

Another example of how hypocritical the Libs are.

she is dang lucky it only took 45 seconds for a cop to get to her home. in most cases, it takes minutes.
.
as for the firearm, it only takes one time of being threatened by a criminal to turn a gun haiting libtard into a person who realizes the value of having something like a firearm to defend themselves and their family with.

We're screwed. Another of the Mayoral candidates, I think his name is Andrews or something like that, wants to put solar panels on 250 public buildings.
It will take 85 years to recover the cost.
I don't know about you but I will most likely be dead long before that!
Mr. Andrew, and his consulting firm GreenMark, spearheaded a similar project when he was hired by the Hennepin County Commissioners 7 years ago. He championed a solar power system for a Public Utilities storage building in Medina.

"A solar array has been installed on the roof of the Public Works Facility in Medina. The system includes about 528 solar modules and is one of the largest solar panel installations in the upper Midwest."

http://www.hennepin.us/portal/site/HennepinUS...

Mr. Andrew's company, GreenMark, sold everyone on what a great system this is, and what a “fine example of good governance” this was.

After all, it would save $15,000 per year in energy costs at this building. A "win-win" for everyone, especially the tax payers.

The only problem is that before Hennepin County begins to realize the $15K per year savings, they need to pay off the $900,000 that it cost to buy and install the solar panels.

That means that the year 2070 is the first year that any savings will be realized by the tax payers in Hennepin County.

Oh, yeah...and the storage building is scheduled to be replaced in 2028 - a mere 42 years before the solar system pays for itself as we were all told it would do.

Only in the mind of a Liberal is this "good governance".
