The value of a waterway can't be overstated.

There is a creek flowing from the south end of NSP to the NW corner. The creek is buried in culverts hidden from view. It is an asset to the city and should be reconstructed as a nice flowing body of water.

You know I drove through Detroit with the Google and that area looks just like North Saint Paul. Many empty lots, bad streets, old houses, etc..

This is a concern.

Watch the Mayor Lie. He talks about property owned by the City and doesn't mention any single family lots that the City owns.

Oh that's right if questioned he would say they are small with little value.

Wally Wysopal's "accomplishments":

Building a $10,000,000 community center using LGA that was supposed to be used to REDUCE taxes. Instead the project INCREASED taxes. Note Vadnais Heights built a sports complex and is currently defaulted on bonds because of the failure.

Attempting to hoodwink NSP into implementing a fiberoptic MONOPOLY where the city would control all phone, internet, TV, and anything else they could use the fiber for. This illfated project would have cost NSP residents $34,000,000 and ended up with a disaster just like Monticello.

Implemented a MONOPOLY trash collection system where a 6 year contract was signed obligating residents to use the MONOPOLY for 6 years with no sunset.

Constructed a very expensive windmill that would not function because of incorrect lubricant. The windmill functions but the city REFUSES to release actual generation numbers OR the annual cost to maintain the windmill. Experts report the windmill is noting but a bird chopping cash sinkhole.

Economic developmet disaster: Anchor Block gone, Tap and Grill gone, city hall site empty, bus barn site empty, Reflex Medical funded with TIF $$ and on main street that should be retail shops, city built houses sold at a loss and ignoring city codes, many residential lots sitting empty, etc..

Electric Utility, programs not available that Excel offers. Rates higher than Excel. Service lower than Excel. Not the green energy that Excel uses. Costs to residents higher because employees are city workers with ultrahigh salaries. Infrastructure isn't buried causing tree loss and worse service and more dangerous. etc

Silver Lake beach was closed because city was low on cash.

NSP property taxes are much higher than surrounding communities.

NSP police officer was killed on duty, RIP Rick, because of no backup for NSP officers.

The car show is well attended, the main street is in poor repair. There are crevasses in the concrete large enough to swallow an M1 tank.

The flower beds look wonderful, hats off to those keeping them so nice.

And hats off to the NSPPD for controling pedestrian traffic.

Sooo, Mr Schmal says Polarnet was a disaster and good voters killed it.

Meanwhile the Mayor still supports it.

The informed voters had the last say, thank God!!

So the City starts a bulk item pickup progran. They charge a monthly fee for the service if you use it or NOT. They have the trash hauler do the pickup initially.

THEN once the residents accept the unwanted service they conver the program to a city service. So now we have a service that you pay for use it or not. The city expands the empire of workers and raises the rates for the bulk pickup service, use it or not. They justify the cost increases based on increased costs of hiring more workers etc. So they have a self sustaining CASH COW.

There is NO accountability of what they actually pickup or what they do with the items they pickup. It's assumed some items have value and who gets the cash from the sales? Is anything accounted for?

You see the city accounts for NOTHING. Try to find out how much the electricity cost from the sparky turbine, good luck. It's a BIG SECRET.

The cost of living in NSP just keeps climbing and services keep decreasing, as in road repair. Even the main street is as rough as a Siberian goat trail in January.

And the "mayor" still wants to see a Monticello like fiber project in NSP. Mike, why don't you retire in Arizona. Anyone with 1/2 a brain get's out of the frozen Minnesota tundra in winter.

So back in the 50's a train track separated north and south North Saint Paul. There were track crossings at various places so the north enders could drive to the main street.

The the town leaders decided the new highway 36 would bring all kinds of propserity to the town so they built the commuter highway right through town.

Well the highway did bring all kinds of traffic but little of it stopped in NSP and at the crossings of 36 there were thousands of crashed including fatal crashes.

So someone got a brainy idea to put 36 in a trench with appropriate interchanges. This would lower traffic noise, reduce wrecks, reduce ait pollution, eliminate grade level crossings with stop lights etc.

So Government executed the upgrade, EXCEPT they put 36 OVER Mc Knight road, installed NO interchange at Margaret street and they didn't install an interchange at 120 OR Hadley.

So here we are in 2013 soon to be 2014 which is about 60 YEARS or 6 decades after 36 was upgraded and it still has stoplights on it.

PLUS to add insult to injury the Government spends $700,000,000+ on a bridge to nowhere in Stillwater, estimated 20,000 vehicles a day use the bridge.

Meanwhile 40,000 vehicles a day use 36 in North Saint Paul. And the Government can't find 20,000 to upgrade 36 in NSP..

This sheet can't be made up...

Of cours the clincher is that NSP reidents can't even get on 36 from the main street, Margret.

PLUS everyone undrstands how catalytic conveters work. In order for them to clean the exhaust from a internal combustion engine the converter MUST be HOT. In order for it to be HOT the car MUST BE traveling at 50 MPH especially in winter with cold temps in Minnesota.

So all these people jogging, biking and walking on the Gateway trail are being subjeted to excess pollution because of the stop lights on 36 at 120 and Hadley.

Come on Government step up and hear the birds sing.

Kath auto parts leaves, now Bradley plumbing and 2 other stores leave.

Meanwhile the city is picking winners using TIF to bribe the winners to town. Of course using TIF increases taxes on ALL other taxpayers.

Like Kath and Bradley, hence they go out of business.
