I hear that their is a real strong Market for these Tools in Capetown, Illinois, and Rio, New York.

With a Small "Public" Investment, the Free State of Arizona may be able to generate "Revenue Enhancements" whic could retire their Public Debt, or pay for Border Agents to keep the Criminal Illegals out of their Neighborhoods?

Except that it is not State money used in the Buy Backs. The people donating the money are donating to get the guns off the street. The people turning them in want them destroyed. The police here agree and were against this Bill.
This is just another attempt by the GOP in this State to counter the will of the people that want guns of the street.
If it was State money I would agree with you. But it's not. This is because they passed a law already in 2010 to accomplish that. This was private money and private citizens. The police are only at the buy backs because of safety issues with destroying the guns.

This is a win win for law abiding residents.

IF those turning the firearms in were using them on the streets to commit crime AND those buying the firearms turned in are law abiding residents needing a firearm then this is clearly a win win.

If the firearms are just destroyed like Obama did with the Cash For Clunkers program then as anyone with 1/2 a brain will tell you the cars were wasted and cost much lost value to the participants in the program.

Government shouldn't be in the business of destroying products with value left in them.

To destroy value is just stupid and very wastefull!!

In theory, but you my friend put far too much faith into the state of Arizona..... yet they would rebuild lost trust if they did.... at least it's not New York so who knows they might?
