While working on insulating a house needed some acoustic sealent for air infiltration containment between the vapor barrier and wall studs.

Bought some new "Green" sealent at HD and used it. The stuff hardened and lost it's seal resulting in moisture infiltration into insulation.

Then shopped at M and bought petroleum based sealant and it wouks much better, never hardening.

Bottem line the "Green" product isn't Green after all because if it results in wet insulation you lose R value and waste energy.

Green krap is junk!!

Lots of products put "green" on their labels to sucker in idiots. It does not mean they are 'green' in any sense of the word except for the green they just took from your wallet.

And of course nobody knew that, and it is always welcome news when an expert steps in to inform us.

I'm going to drive my hybrid with an acid based battery that is using pollution causing inefficient bio-fuels to go to the hardware store and buy mercury-laden light-bulbs.

BTW, I'm not very smart I also believe in global warming.

Do they charge these car batteries up with other batteries? Where does the energy come from to charge all these batteries up? Do they use windmills? Solar power? Nuclear power?

Have you ever seen the WIND TURBINE near highway 36 in North Saint Paul?

That IS what charges up all the Prius's in North Saint Paul, the "Green" solution is at hand.

Any other questions?

How far do you have to drive to get to these "gas" stations? How many of these WIND TURBINE'S will dot the urban landscape? Will they become as numerous as cell phone towers if all vehicles become electric?

So when henry ford built his model Ts, there were not gas stations on every corner. so that was a bad Idea?

I like both apples and oranges.....but never use them to create a point for an ignorant position on an issue.

What does it cost the Electric car owner to "fuel up"?

Or what does it cost the owner of an Obama Volt to fuel up every 40 miles?

Do we the people pay for the "free" electricity that the PC put in their vehicle?

After all we the people built the useless Wind Generators via Gifts and Tax Incentives from your Messiah.

That depends if cities want windmills where all the gas stations are now. Who's going to pay for all these windmills? You?

Will government need to give companies "corporate welfare" to ivcentivise them to build these windmills? Or will they raise the gas taxes to build these windmills? Please, give us your liberal viewpoint.

There were gasoline subsidies to build gas stations? Tell us how that was done. Educate us, if you can.
