I hope the supposed Tarvaris Jackson experiment is not over. He never was given a good chance. Judging him on that Giants game is so over reacting. We are not a good team. The o-line is terrible and you expect him to light it up against a very good D? For stupid! I hope Joe Webb survives tonight. What killed this team was Brett Freaking Favre! To much of a distraction!

How can this guy even be considered based upon his coaching performance as the previous D coordinator? He is a loser because his defenses can not stop anybody. He is well liked because he doesn't make his players accountable for their performances, so they love him. A no nads coach when it comes to decision or discipline time and it shows in the undiciplined way his team plays. He does not have it as a HC. How many times does he have to be turned down as a HC for people to see this? The future of this franchise in his hands would be pretty bleak. A complete house cleaning is needed at the coaching level period. Scoring only 6 points in the last two loses also tells you something about our offense. Get rid of this group and bring somebody in that knows how to coach at this level. The speed of the game appears to be too much for Frazier.

Jackson was mishandled but we saw what he has, occasional good plays, some solid play and some horrible decision making. I don't care if he comes back or not they have to draft someone. So next year (if they play) we have Webb, a draftee, T-Jack or a veteran that they sign. Or Webb goes to wideout or DB and they sign another vet. No matter what they will be lucky to be competitive thanks to Childress, drafting Jackson far too early, his commitment to him but unwillingness to develop him properly. I hope Webb does well tonight, he's a great athlete so he has to play some position. Now that Childress is gone hopefully they won't wait till camp to make QB acquisitions and we can sign people who haven't played for Philadelphia also.

Have to wonder if it is Leslie Frzier's fault or Darrell Bevell's fault as the play calling has been awful for Tavaris Jackson. Heaven help us when Joe Webb gets in there as it seems our offensive line wnder Bevell's coaching is very, very bad. We can hope that Adrian Peterson and Toby Gerhart can run and catch passes for long yardage. Then perhaps Joe Webb can complete for more than 50% of his passes and run when and if there are holes for him to run. Perhaps Joe webb can run a sweep behind our tackles and the tight ends with Peterson or Gerhart blocking. Oh Lord, help us.

Shooter might be writing for his job today: Chaz Walters who has won many pea brain awards might be writing for his column today. Its been a tumulatous year for Chaz, the scandal that the little birdys were nothing more than his multiple personalities, the job offer from the national enquirer that was rescnided due to the fact that he just tells too many bold face lies, have all resulted in the pioneer press warning chaz that he is on thin ice.

pssssst: rumor has it shooter recycles columns changing only the names and adding dunkers updates every once in aw hile.

If the team comes out as flat and plays as uninspired as they did last week against the Giants, I think Frazier doesn't deserve a chance to coach the team next year.

I agree and I agree with Charly's column. Of course the same nitwits, day in and day out rip on Walters no matter what the content of the column is. They need to grow up and get a life.

Of course this is Coach of choice for many of the undereducated people of Vikings Nation. I think people need to look at the improvement in the defense since he's not calling the shots. Frazier has done nothing to deserve a shot as a head coach.

Need to start all over. Last game was coached exactly like Childress. Bevell is a horrific play caller. We need someone who can light a fire under their overpaid a**es

Gee, I don't know, maybe based on head to head games against the Vikings and their overall record for this year and over the past several years.

It's always curious to hear the wisdom of commentators: "If the Vikings win two of their next three games, Frazier, who is 2-1 in a six-game audition, clearly deserves the full-time coaching job."

Really? Frazier "clearly deserves" the job even though he's effectively riding out the system that Childress put in place for the first half of the season? For crying out loud, I don't know if Frazier should or should not be the next coach, but I would hardly think you could evaluate the guy based on interim coaching of a few games.

Plenty of other coaching candidates are going to be out there as well who have won more than 4 or 5 games as a head coach during their careers. It seems like a knee-jerk reaction on the part of Shooter to anoint Frazier as "clearly deserving" of the Vikings coaching job when we really haven't even considered who else could potentially coach. Why don't we avoid knee-jerk reactions, methodically consider all the potential coaching candidates, and THEN say who the most "deserving" person is for the job?

His fastball was in the mid 90's until 2009. Hopefully he will be able to bring it closer to 95 than 92... Rauch was 90, 92 and he wasn't lights out by any means..

O.K. it's the end of the first quarter, Vikes are playing like the Vike's. Stupid penalties, over-thrown snap's, ect.
Why is the field marked with U-of-M logo's?
When we played at Detroit, The field looked like a home field should look.
What a bunch of S-H-I-T.
Paint over that garbage. Don't tell me they can't because of weather or time. It's because of the arrogant U of M stuffed shirts and their no booze no nothin' attitude, like everyone should be grateful to play there.
I have had it with the Vike's and the U of M.
I will not spend one more dollar on either one.
Stuff it up your tight cracks puke's.
Minnesota has NOTHING for a professional sport's fan to watch.
LOSERS.
Same old crap EVERY year.
You both deserve all the NON-SUPPORT you get.
You can poo-poo this post all you want, but if you think I'm the only one who is of this mindset, you are the obtuse fool's.
Blow me Vike's and Gopher's, your fan base is gone.
