Actions? You mean like passing the Violence Against Women Act, pass the Fair Pay Act, letting insurance cover birth control (men's viagra has been covered by it for years), stop the practice of insurance companies charging women more than men for the same policies, and other things such as supporting letting women choose for themselves whether to have children or not rather than force us?
All very interesting stuff. I suggest you start a new thread for the left/right war on women debate...

I would much rather have employees that were bright enough to stand up for themselves rather than accepting being treated diferently due to gender or race.
One method I've seen factories use in pay discrimination is to hire someone (usually women, blacks, and hispanics) under a job title paying less, but fully intending to put that person on lines with people (usual white males) under a different title which pays higher. They do the same line, hours, and work, but are paided less.
Why do you think Republican leaders 'aways' have opposed equal pay laws. At the state level they have even repealed already existing ones.
My, my, my...you are an angry young woman, aren't you?

So are you saying that women, blacks, and Hispanics are not capable of standing up for their own rights and are so stupid they will accept substandard pay when doing the same job as a white man?

If so, you certainly have a negative view of those people's capabilities. If I were a Hispanic black woman, I'd punch you in the nose for making such an ignorant statement about me.

And now you are saying that it is the government's job to decide the wages of private sector employees?

Monica Lewinski.
Edwards, womanizing.
JFK Marylin Monroe.
Murder of how many MILLIONS of female babies while under control of mommy.
Rampant STD's, sexual freedom pimped by libertards by giving away fee "birth control".
Escalating violence against women in Libertard cities.
Importing Mooslims by the millions into the USA, Mooslims who treat women like dogs and lessor humans.
Encouraging women to work even when they are challenged to compete with men, and now the same women are leaving the work force in droves.
BTW, women can choose birth control BEFORE they are expectant mothers. I.E. DON'T GET YOUR BRAINS PHOCKED OUT AND WAKE UP PREGNANT WITH A CHILD!!!
Where you say violence against women in Libertard cities ..... I think I'll point out on the state-wide level that of the top fifteen states with the highest murder rates (2012)(with or without a gun), eleven are bible states with the fewest and most lenient gun laws.

They are Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, South Carolina, Missouri, Tennessee, Arkansas, Georgia, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Arizona. The four non-bible northern states on the top fifteen list are Michigan (but it's only in third place), Maryland (seventh place), Delaware (eighth place), and Illinois (twelfth place).

I'll pick one of your other examples at random.

Cool, it's Monica Lewinski. Did you know while you guys and particularly Newt Gingrich were dissing Clinton for having that affair good old Newt was at the same time bonging an aide in his office supply room? Yep, google it. His wife busted him and divorced him. He's lost only one, but two wives because of cheating. Guess what? You guys (after dissing Clinton) ran Newt as one of your candidates for President in the last election. Btw, one of your other candidates, Herman Cain,(back when he was private sector) got in trouble for sexually harassing several female co-workers, one was actually what I would call sexual assault because he attempted to forcefully pull up a woman's skirt. But you ran both for President anyway. Yep, Republican family valves at work, with an emphasis on respecting women.

Yep, I'm saying there's the need for laws outlawing pay discrimination. It took the government to stop many things over the years. For example, do you know the death, injury, and illness rate in mines years ago compared to now. The vast improvement came from worker safety laws passed by the government (both state and federal).

There are already laws on the books that outlaw pay discrimination. But they allow for the fact that a newly hired person (of whatever gender and race) starts working on some assembly line next to a seasoned veteran of that same line, will make less money because of inexperience and/or length of employment. Just because you are performing the same function as someone else does not mean you should make the same wage.

While I agree that without some government regulation, such as safety or environmental rules, we would be hosed and probably drinking radioactive water, your comparison to wages is sort of apples to oranges.

You are either a silly child, or a government worker. We have nothing more to say to each other because you will never able to rationally discuss such a topic as income in the private sector.
