Yes! Absolutely they should be tested! Once when they are nominated, again before they are sworn in, and then subject to random testing for the full length of their time in office.

Just like nearly everyone else in the country.

Or, they should grow some balls and ban it altogether as the violation of the 4th and 5th amendment rights that it is.

I know if they DNA tested the old fogies and religious drumbeaters (especially in the Republican Party) the test would reveal dinosaur DNA. Dinosaurs didn't go extinct, they just went to Washington.

Being an "old fogie", self important dinosaur is not exclusively limited to any political party. And you might want to consider that we all have a few remnants of reptile in our DNA. Thanks to that whole Darwin, evolutionary thingie.

Do the smart thing Jenny. If you take the time to vote, bypass the ones with a D or R in front of their names. They really are no different and most of them have been in office for far too long.

But all the other old fogie dinosaurs cannot force their archaic beliefs through passing laws. I do vote. It would be stupid for me not to, because it's me, a woman, that far most offen takes the blunt of old beliefs and laws proposed (or enacted) to compel them.

Guess which party I have to vote for to protect myself from it?

They do get drug tested it comes with the physical not counting or including Congress of course or Judges.also why are you hating on Slew? would it be because he's smarter and more clever then you?

Since you asked what power, you may like to read a thread I'll put a link to. Before the last election my best friend and I did a thread on women. We're going to do another on things which have occurred pertaining to women following that election but we're waiting until closer to the 2014 or 2016 one.

Our thread was titled about Romney but it covered an array of things from 2008 to the end of 2011.

Why do you only see "women's rights" rather than "human rights"?

The Declaration of Independence states: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness."

I see nothing in the above statement that says you have a right to an equal outcome.

I have a number of employees and almost all make different wages. The reason for the differing wage rates is something called productivity and profitability. If you are productive and produce a bigger profit for the company, you earn more money than the other workers. It does not matter what your gender is, nor your skin color, nor your sexual orientation.

Which means that if you worked for me and someone else made more money than you did, you would sue. Gee, I wonder why you would never get a job at my company?

I would much rather have employees that were bright enough to stand up for themselves rather than accepting being treated diferently due to gender or race.

One method I've seen factories use in pay discrimination is to hire someone (usually women, blacks, and hispanics) under a job title paying less, but fully intending to put that person on lines with people (usual white males) under a different title which pays higher. They do the same line, hours, and work, but are paided less.

Why do you think Republican leaders 'aways' have opposed equal pay laws. At the state level they have even repealed already existing ones.

Btw, read my thread on the link I gave. Particularly the various things (quotes) that Republican leaders have said which fully shows their views on women. Those quotes are things said since 2008. So they are by Republicans still in power within the party.

One of my favorite things said by a Republican leader is from last year.

“We’ve got real issues to talk about, not the latest bimbo eruption.”

A second btw, they've said other things more recently, but as I said, Kell and I are waiting until closer to the next election.

No woman or minority should vote for Republicans.

Actions? You mean like passing the Violence Against Women Act, pass the Fair Pay Act, letting insurance cover birth control (men's viagra has been covered by it for years), stop the practice of insurance companies charging women more than men for the same policies, and other things such as supporting letting women choose for themselves whether to have children or not rather than force us?
