Over the weekend, Senator Jeff Sessions, the top Republican on the Senate Budget Committee, said that the Obama administration is encouraging growth in the food stamps program as a way to stimulate the economy.

If you libs want to control obesity in the country, this would be a great place to start.

Set strict guidelines for what can be bought. And, while you are at it, make it mandatory that the products be grown and processed in the USA!

Just where did you come up with the "starve Americans"? Are you saying that limiting the food choices of Americans is starving them?

No, feed them cattle - just lean US raised and processed ones.

I guess that it is hard to follow your Slewpid logic. You come up with some wild tale about what it is you believe I think.

So, following your logic, we should be sending all jobs outside the country and Mayor Bloomberg should be in jail.

Your constant complaints about the source really aren't valid when you are too Slewpid & lazy to check for a source yourself.

__________

Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day; show him how to catch fish, and you feed him for a lifetime.

Meaning

A proverbial saying which suggests that the ability to work is of greater benefit than a one-off handout.

Liberals should read it and understand it !!

Something like the number of people on food stamps is public information. Are you saying that our government is not a valid source of data?

Slewpid never ever provides proof of he/she/its outrageous nonsensical babble. Except in the form of uncredited, plagiarized, copy/pasted paragraphs that are invalid because they are plagiarized and uncredited. And poor honey slew slew never ever accepts any kind of proof from others, no matter how solid, because it would be the same as admitting he/she/it were wrong, ignorant, senseless, a liar, a hypocrite, and so on. It's not easy being the low integrity, non-information, self appointed spell check queen, and grammar cop, of Topix.

Back on topic, what would be wrong with healthy buying habits for 50 million citizens eating off or our dime? If they want junk food, let them use their own money.

How many jobs would that create?
