How about enforcing the law, Pinheads. Isn't texting while driving illegal?

"At A+Driving Schools, students take a drive in a golf cart while texting to show how difficult it is to stay safe, said CEO Pete Hosmer. One-quarter of this year’s fatalities have been drivers under 25."

“I drive every day and see people texting, and they don’t think it’s wrong,” Hosmer said.

It's amazing how many wrecks occur in lite traffic, dry roads, bright daylite. One woman drove into the back of a dump truck on I694 and highway 5. Another woman somehow spun off I694 at 36 and ended up in the ditch. A woman drove right into the back of another car on 120 at 36. If you see a car being driven funny the driver always ends up on the phone or texting. IMHO cells should be inoperative when moving in a vehicle. Just like vehicles shouldn't run when a drunk is behind the wheel. Think of all the prevented wrecks.

The scumbag can't pass up an opportunity to push his agenda.

It don't take a COP to deactivate cell phones, audio and texting, while the phone is on the move. Of course allow 911 calls only.

Cell providers resist the deactivation because it would hurt revenue, and they use their lobbists and lots of $$$$ to oppose a very common sense change. The cell phone MUST BE the most lucrative product ever invented.
