Did he mention any time taxpayers ever did trust the IRS? I mean, besides the ones who don't actually pay taxes.

The IRS should be eliminated completely by tax reform. Apply taxes to income and sales as needed and eliminate the balancing at years end.

There is no need and any additional taxes. Taxes collected by end of year IRS actions are not even close to what it costs to fund the IRS, time wasted by taxpayers to file the forms and the cost of paying private companies to file the forms for you.

There is no need for all the writeoffs to motivate people to give to charities etc, they will give with no writeoffs.

The IRS does nothing but meddle in the financial affairs of the citizens, get rid of them.

A relative used to work for the IRS and said he loved to make people squirm when he cought them with and error. He acted as punishment when he was nothing but a form checker. IRS SCUM every one!!

BTW, make the Postal Service 100% private, they float or sink, it's up to them to make it work.

Probably audit first...
I'm not in the Tea Party so probably safe there.

Besides if your clean they can audit all they want and find nothing. One time they bitched about our taxes and ended up refunding us a bunch of $$$. So they don't check us.

Yes, but the IRS auditing "all they want" can cost you an awful lot of time at the very least. And, since you're guilty until you prove yourself innocent, any mistake in record keeping could easily result in a fine.
And, there are some allegations from non-Tea Party citizens that they were audited shortly after doing something that criticized OBAMA's administration.
And there are some allegations ???

Nice work with your proof, teabagger.

The heading for this thread is presumptious.

Did taxpayers EVER trust the IRS?

IRS is a bunch of overpaid aholes that love to harass people who work for a living.

Take ALL the IRS employees and have them harass the bums living off the fat of the land. There are MILLIONS of people who never pay taxes and the Government NEVER bothers them.

What the phock?????

The IRS continues to thumb their noses at the American tax payer.
MORE leadership failure:
The Internal Revenue Service is about to pay $70 million in employee bonuses despite an Obama administration directive to cancel discretionary bonuses because of automatic spending cuts enacted this year, according to a GOP senator.
Sen. Chuck Grassley of Iowa says his office has learned that the IRS is executing an agreement with the employees' union on Wednesday to pay the bonuses. Grassley says the bonuses should be canceled under an April directive from the White House budget office.
The directive was written by Danny Werfel, a former budget official who has since been appointed acting IRS commissioner.
"The IRS always claims to be short on resources," Grassley said. "But it appears to have $70 million for union bonuses. And it appears to be making an extra effort to give the bonuses despite opportunities to renegotiate with the union and federal instruction to cease discretionary bonuses during sequestration."
This IRS scandal is over Issa was outted out by Cummings who released the full transcript of the IRS employee at the heart of the agency's scandal that ISSA only release tidbits of Issa is discredited and now is trying to keep his chairmanship as the chairman of the House oversight committee.
Congrats go out to Rep.Cumming for exposing the car thief Issa as
a partisan witch hunter and the American people have loss all trust in him.
You have loss again Liberals all your scandals against Obama has fail.
