This might shake up a couple Thanksgiving dinners. Pope Francis has released his first apostolic exhortation, and in it he goes after “a new tyranny” of markets and “idolatry of money.” "How can it be that it is not a news item when an elderly homeless person dies of exposure, but it is news when the stock market loses two points?" he asks. Francis also looked inward, at the Vatican bureaucracy which was the target of scandal under his predecessor. "I prefer a Church which is bruised, hurting and dirty because it has been out on the streets, rather than a Church which is unhealthy from being confined and from clinging to its own security," he said.

Republicans aren't Christians. They don't follow the teachings of Jesus.

Really? Interesting perspective you have.

And, of course, your heroes Carl Marx and Barack Hussein Obama are shining examples of what all Christians should strive to achieve.

Yeah, that make sense now.

My bad. Although my friend Dumbo Jr probably is not smart enough to even notice the error.

Apparently you don't follow the words or Jesus Christ or the Pope. That's OK, see what good your money does you after you pass on.

That Bible is just a Marxist propaganda rag, right?

Apostolic exhortation (apostolica exhortatio): a papal reflection on a particular topic that does not contain dogmatic definitions or policy directives, addressed to bishops, clergy and all the faithful of the entire Catholic Church. Apostolic exhortations are not legislative documents.

In other words, it is one man's opinion.

Want to know my opinion? It is as valid as the Pope's.

I would argue that your opinion is more valid - at least you work for a living.
