If Such An Award Were To Be Given My Vote Would Be For Mrs. Donna Hurt. She Has Done So Much To Help The Elderly In Southern Ohio. Including Myself. To Me She Is An Angel Without Wings For The Elderly And The Handicapped.

My vote would be for the two board members Troy Huff and Cliff Jenkins that stood up to Mark Caudill and his buddy Mark Wilcheck on bus safety for our children. Please let these people know how you feel since they our working again on pushing this for next year!

The thing you don't understand is that we need to fix our debt problem. Everything can't go as it has. Bus routes need to be combined regardless. No matter how bad you want something, it is a want not a need, you can't have everything all the time. At least somebody is will to male an effort and acknowledge there is a problem. Your going to dump all this on the very kids you so paranoid about protecting.

I don't understand why buses are going out of district to pick up children when we are hurting so badly. Buses run not to the edge of Rubyville but go on side roads there to pick up kids. These parents don't pay taxes to the district and the kids are picked up right in front of their houses.

Jim you must live with your head up your poopshoot. the school just paid over $800.oo for the installation of two ceiling fans for the bus garage and that doesn't include the cost for the fans and wire. when things like that happen it is hard to believe there is a money problem. I guess the bus supervisor needs th be cool when she is coming up with this stupid shit. It is like the pay increase the board menbers gave them self,, oh we are broke we need to stop transporting those darn children. What a joke

Sounds like a typical Scioto county issue, finding ways to circumvent money to put in your pocket. Great job greedy ass people. People wonder what the hell is wrong with this place. A common ground can't even be established over something as simple as buses. C'mon pepole you're adults, act like it.

I don't have the "inside" information you have mentioned nor does the common person. You work, know somebody that works at the school, happened to be there for some reason, or you were simply told this by another/others, I don't know, as I wasn't there. I'm not talking about things that I have no idea about or could even know. And what about self voted pay increases? Where is info on that please? Is that public knowledge or publicly available information? My opinions about a recent popular topic are different than you attempting to argue me down with hearsay.

The minutes of all school board meeting are public information as is the financial records, all you have to do is go to the main office and request the information, you can even attend the meetings if you like to be informed with facts, it is all public record my friend.

Jason, going to get the minutes sounds like a great idea. Then you'll find out that the board voted to not get paid the rest of the year.

Teresa, the state provides money (around $5600 a year) for each student enrolled at the school. That'sthe reason for attendance week. It doesn't matter if they are tax payers or not. It' a money issue and it would be stupid to turn those students away.

Buses for Minford DO NOT come down any streets in Rubyville. I live in Rubyville and would love for my kids to be picked up at the door, that does not happen. And, as far as money, evediently you do not know that the money follows the kid.

you lost me. does the minford bus run by your house or not? if you have kids going to minford and pay tax's in another district, that sounds like a win , win for your area. i live in an area where my kids can go to at least 3 different school districts. valley, minford or eastern. i pay valley tax's but my last daughter goes to minford, and i have had one daughter who attended eastern for a while. i on the other hand went to valley. all the bus's pass here.

Then you need to open your eyes. The bus stops at Rubyville Fire Dept then goes to the Rubyville Church to turn around. Btw local tax money does not follow the child it stays in the district. State dollars is the money that follows the child. Again how fair is it that you don't pay taxes for a bus to run to pick up your children at your door step. My tax dollars should not pay to pick up your children.

Did you vote in the last election? Was there a township tax levy on the ballot for Harrison township or Clay township? Your land taxes stay in the district you live in. "Evediently" you don't know that.

I understand the importance to accept kids out of district for financial gains but to run buses for them when fuel prices are so high that I don't understand. These students should be taken by their parents to a bus stop in our district. I know for a fact that the bus runs into Rubyville. I get stuck behind it everyday. The parents that live out of district should feel some pain to get the best education for their kids.
