Just returned home after spending a week in Port Henry. Visited Boni's Bistro and had a lovely meal, served by very pleasant and helpful staff. Well done, Boni!!!

I just ate dinner there with my family, great price, decent food, feel very fortunate to have a nice clean place in town to eat a meal. Better than driving to plattsburgh or glennsfalls. But most people would like to see it shutdown so we can have one more vacant building not contributing to the tax base, think about it, are you proud to be from the area you grew up in when you drive through
main street and see business after business closing?Support local business !!

I didn't grow up in Port Henry or even in the United States but can appreciate good food at a good price in clean surroundings. Why would anyone want to see it shut down?

Seems like most of the villagers are jealous of
others success. Would rather run down people then
give them their do for a job well done.

Speaking as a camper who has eaten at Bonnies, the
food was good and the service was great.

Hope she is still open in the spring when we come back. If we come back.....any word on weather the campground will be open next season?

Yes it will be open next spring. The village crew has been working to repair everything that was damaged, thanks to that B--- Irene..... so see you in the spring.

Boni - Why don't you try a buffet like Gloria's Country Inn use to do? Start on a small scale & see how it goes. I think you would have a knock down bussiness. Just a suggestion.
good idea

I like the buffet idea. Maybe Boni does not care about customers.

Boni doesn't care about her customers at all. My experience was awful. She was very rude and she made my husband and I feel very unwanted!!!

Yes I hear what you say @ buffet, I tried that awhile ago and not many like the buffet idea... I am sorry for anyone who had a bad or "rude" experience at my restaurant! And yes I do care about my customers, very much... I will take all ideas into consideration. Happy holidays to all.

Boni,
I went to Gloria's for years before I got into the Trek group, a 140 mile round-trip! She told me it took a while to build the business, that she mostly relied on word of mouth PLuS the signature pudding extolled by PBS. She also said that people MUST get good value for the price She was also adamant that that she close for a couple months when weather was bad because business was too low volume in Jan & Feb.

Down in Queensbury and Wilton the Golden Corral is always busy.

All just an FYI.

Was at a chidren's party at Bon's! She not only helped decorate for the party. Kept checking making sure all was ok!! Excellent place for a Children's Birthday Party!! Good Memories!
