Here we are in a drought and nearly 'out of drinking water' that we, at Palo Pinto Lake, are providing to the folks in Mineral Wells to waste on watering their plants. Give us a break!!! STOP WASTING OUR WATER!

Technically it is their water, the folks at the lake just have to tolerate the mismanagement of it ! That meeting the other night said 2 Million Gallons a day is lost between where they release it at the dam and where they pump it out 14 miles down Palo Pinto Creek, Cryin Shame

Mineral Wells paid for Lake Palo Pinto to be built and has first rights to the water. They are taking some water from the Brazos River, to supplement their water. Want we need to do is find another source of water for future water shortages.

It doesn't matter who owns what, the irresponsible use of water in a severe drought condition is total uncalled for. New landscaping, car wash, golf course it's all a waste.

It is a money making business for Mineral Wells to sell their water. The more they sell the more money they make. But it is morally irresponsible to use the water in wasteful and stupid ways during a hard drought. It is also irresponsible to make no effort to clean up or repair the public areas and ramps, or enforce any of the lake regualtions, or clean up the mess of trash and debris that can now be seen on the lake bed. It is their lake land and water, it is also their responsibility to be good neighbors, enforce their own rules, and not be wasteful or do nothing to imporve the

Looks like this is leaning toward "Poor Judgement " at this point. Another"Bad Perception Fumble" by the City and Water District was when their Drought Meeting ended this Tuesday Night, the plumbing crews were out with their flashing lights on laying PVC pipe for the water sprinkler system for all these new trees and plants they are putting in. After we were all being schooled in the art of water conservation at that meeting by the Politicians, it kind left you with that old " Kinda Hypocritical " feeling. How many Poor Judgement points does it take to CHANGE ONES WAYS?

For those of us at the lake, it is very depressing to watch the water recede. Those that are not on the lake don't see the devastation. Out of sight, out of mind. They all need to take a ride to the lake and take a look. Then go to Breckenridge and look at their lake. There's a goods chance they will be us!!!!!! Conserve.

Palo Pinto doesn't give the people on the lake a discount on their tax's when their Lake Front property is not worth anything for 2 yrs. It is a shame that Mineral Wells can't stop wasting money on new plants when no one else can water their plants. Spend some money cleaning and fixing up Palo Pinto Lake & you wouldn't need Turkey Peak.

Discounts on property taxes would be hard to achieve quickly by Lake Resident's. As most out at Lake Palo Pinto are electronically connected, maybe a petition to The City of Mineral Wells and Palo Pinto County Municipal Water District 1 stating that the undersigned petitioners from this point forward will be Boycotting all Retail Goods and Services that are not an absolute necessity (ie Medical Prescriptions) from entities within the City of Mineral Wells and it's sales taxing authority. HIT EM IN THE POCKET BOOK, unfortunately Palo Pinto County would get hit too but they also need to address the issues of neglect of this lake. Shop Weatherford Shop Eastland Sho Stephenville. If the City and the Water District come to the table and make an effort ease the sanctions.....Carpool for groceries make it a group effort.
