Double murder on Cutcane

[Lawd have mercy]

Two individuals were found dead in a ditch around the Cutcane area today. Officials are saying that it appears the man & woman have been dead a week and were already being eaten by dogs. It was Ray Hawkins & his girlfriend from what everyone is saying. Crazy & sad.

Yeah - I saw a chopper over the area for about 1-1/2 hours today. I was wondering what was going on - sad and shocked to hear that's what it was.

Yeah & it must've been Ray like everyone is saying because there was law enforcement officials backed up from his house to the lodge today. Sad to say but justa 'bout betcha, it was drugs. And bet they'll be talking to the Hensley boys soon. I don't know. I could be wrong but...

No idea. Somewhere around the upper part. I know some people that live close to Valley Lake Rd off of Cutcane and they said a helicopter was flying around that area today.

The choppers flying over cutcane had nothing to do with the bodies that were found. I don't think they were found in a ditch either. They were in a home.

they were found in the bedroom of rays house,Kyle hawkins was sent to rome mental hospital friday night and told the drs sat morning to call fannin county to have them go check on his brother and they found them both dead they lived on spur 60 just past hardscrabble road on the left going towards murphy

Yeah all kinds of stories get out. I also heard today about the bodies being in Ray's home on Spur 60.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends for their loss. I used to work with a ray hawkins at gold kist several years ago. I also know a raymond hawkins that lives off of 60. Could anyone tell me if it was either of these two? It's sad and tragic regardless of who it was but I would just like to know if it was one of them.

Yes, it is Raymond Hawkins that lives off of Spur 60. I don't know if he worked for Gold Kist or not. My father is really hoping that it wasn't Kyle. They were really close as little kids & use to stay at one another's house all the time he said. Very sad & tragic.

Dang. I'm so sorry to hear this. I know Raymond really well. There is another ray hawkins that worked at gold kist that I know. I was just trying to figure out which one it was. It's sad regardless of who it was.

I've always liked Raymond. Always a real likable, friendly, give you the shirt off of his back kind of guy. It's sad especially to think that his brother may have been involved.

I'm still confused on which Raymond it was. Was it the Raymond that drove the little tan and white truck or the other set of Hawkins up the road?? Either way may they RIP..

this is their cousin nobody knows wat happened yet it was ray Hawkins not Raymond its stories like this that upsets our family more and we would greatly appreciate it if these wild and crazy stories would stop all we kno as of yet is ray and leigh ann were found in his home we do not kno wat happened they were not murdered so please stop with the rumors no one kno s exactly wat happened yet
