I never said I don't trust Wikipedia. The issue was another thing.
The footnotes and sources are needed just to know whether or not that particular sentence was invented out of nothing. But the source doesn't assure you what was said is true.
And this is valid not just for Wikipedia but to all encyclopedias and books.
Its called putting things into "perspective".
