We need someone like Fackler running the Main Street Program, he seemed to be the only one with any real business sense and ability. Venderely is just too full of himself and Reedy is afterall a Reedy. Need I say more?

Find a group of workers that will work for the cheap in order to make these products for the right price that the rest of America can afford and I'm sure we will have those jobs. Until then, keep complaining about how the toaster you bought from China for 5 bucks keeps breaking down every three years. Its not a conspiricy that all those kinds of jobs moved out of the US. No one wants to work that hard, for that little. But they damn sure want to buy a huge TV for less that $500.

This will all take time, but it sounds like we're heading in the right direction. It would be nice if these empty stores take on a new business and there won't be so many empty spaces, but it's not going to happen overnight. Good luck to all that are working on improving downtown Deming, keep up the good work.

Looks like you don't even live there anymore, so how could you know? If you aren't there to know what is happening, then seems like you can't say with certainty who is what and what is good for Deming and Deming Mainstreet. At least there is progress!

Yea, what's wrong with "Reedy". I am a Reedy, do you have something to say about me? Probably not, because you have no clue who I am. You also have no clue how hard my husband and I have worked to get our business going. Its def not easy, so if you dont have anything worth hearing to say "LTR", then keep your comments to yourself.

I don't know you, but have no use for the ones I do know. However, why not ask those who bought out at Country Club estates? I'm sure they would have something to say. I'm glad that a brewery is opening. But if you want to be in the public eye, learn to take the deserved scrutiny.

I can and there has been no progress with MainStreet. With a city mentality that "we all just go to Las Cruces to shop anyway" I don't expect it to improve anytime soon. Take your complaints up with the infantile City Manager, Ricky.

DEAR "MMM", What is wrong with my in laws who bought Country Club Estates? Thats their business, not mine or yours. As far as I know they do well building homes, but if you think otherwise or have an issue with them, why dont you bring it up with them. I do take a lot of scrutiny and it's usually coming from a lot of IGNORANT people who have no clue what goes on in our personal lives. If you have an issue with my family, then say something.

Take a look at the District Court records - the Reedy "record" stands on its own. I think all that needs to be said is being said or going to be said in the Courts.

the problem with the Country Club estates is not the Reedy's it is the homeowners association.. I will never live in a area with a HOA, after hearing about this group. And that group should know better then to expect any Reedy to jump when they say jump.

I'd heard another group started their own HOA at Country Club Estates, now it's been taken on by a lawyer to see who'll be top dog. Think the newer HOA wants a clubhouse, pool, other amenities, but no headway has been made yet. Right now I was told the HOA fees ran about $150 per yr., most probably for maintenance/repairs of streets/sidewalks, etc. I think the homeowners are responsible for keeping their graveled yards clean and maintained. If all these other amentities are built, then this fee each year or month will skyrocket, been there, done that.

As far as Mr. Reedy goes, don't know him, never met him, but have heard plenty about him from people that live in Country Club Estates, doesn't sound like he's the most popular person around, doesn't seem to stand by his goods so to speak.

When we first came here, we considered buying one of those homes, but we changed our mind and had one built well out of city limits, can't tell you how many people have told us we made a smart choice and didn't wind up buying a Reedy built home. I've personally known some that have had trouble with certain things in their homes and it's a fight to have anything repaired, this was when their homes were still fairly new, or they just can't get it repaired and the owner winds up fixing things out of their own pockets. We've also been told a lot of those homes were more or less "thrown together" not very well made, and if you confront Mr. Reedy about a problem, some have gotten a pat on their shoulder, told to contact the contractor, guess he means the one that built the house, and Mr. Reedy just turns and walks off. Don't know how true this is but I was told he tried to get another few homes, maybe a tract of homes, started up again but couldn't obtain the correct permits because he had so many lawsuits against him. Just some things that we've been told by the people that live there, some weren't happy.

Wow. Here's a young man who moved away from the "town" of Deming, served his country, and CAME BACK. Something you people should be applauding since that's what you need most; youth to stay or come back. Instead, you're repeating second-hand information with no basis in personal experience or fact, and slandering a good kid because of issues you have with his dad? Am I biased? Yes I am since I've known Jim Reedy all my life, and Bryan all of his. Yes they are family, and yes, they are good people. What a load of poo. Best part, by far, is that you slander the guy, and don't even have the spine to sign your name to it. Another internet hero hiding behind a screen name and a keyboard. Bryan, good luck with the Brewery!!!!!!!

Thanks Tim. I love how the subject changes from the original topic. I have personally been a part of over 100 homes built in Country Club Estates. Also feel free to look at courthouse records, but make sure you read it all and see the judges decision, also it wasn't against my Father, it was the two sides fighting each other. As for Deming-ite, you're quick to spread around rumors without finding out the facts. Get your lazy rear off that computer chair and find out the correct information before blowing smoke up our rear. I don't care if someone else said it, doesn't mean its true. Its people like you that has steered me away from homebuilding, I'm glad you built a home elsewhere, I want great people to live in that subdivision, the ones with integrity. We have a good group of people living in Country Club Estates, just a few sour apples to give everyone headaches. So we've never met, am I to assume your an idiot? Or should I do the non-childish thing and not judge you? I would still give you a fair chance, but you have to quit being a coward and show yourself. MMM, since when was this considered deserved scrutiny? I understand the point you're trying to make and it doesn't bother me that you have no use for me. That makes it easy, one less person to please. In order to do that though I need to know your name, and we all know you don't have the integrity to confront me with your pathetic issues. So we're stuck with me wanting to help the local community and you still sitting your lazy rear at the computer. I appreciate everyones support and its sad that the focus got directed towards me and not towards the more important subjects. Anyone who has any issues with me or my family please come forward, I will give you any information. The joys of living an honest and happy life is that I have nothing to hide.
Thank you,

Well first of all, everybody knows about the lawsuits dear. We do not need the interference of any Reedys in our govt. We have had enough! Good for you that you are not like them. But I did not like what I heard about Brian's performance on Mainstreet, and I will not have an imbecile like you or your husband using MainStreet to promote your business when MainStreet has had nothing to do with you opening a brewery. When MainStreet gets off its a SS and does something, actually does something, then you will get credit.

I know some of the people who lived there dear. The town knows what has gone on down there. They know who individuals were treated and it was not right. This is a small town. If there were any integrity, the issues that homeowners had would have been resolved like good neighbors instead of the usual snakes in the grass for a buck. Stick to opening your business. We are watching. We will not tolerate the use of Main Street to promote your business which, I believe was planned long before the MS program. Deming has had enough of the self-absorbed Bryan. We want leadership. We want jobs. We do not want the quality of leadership that we have now. You should resign from Mainstreet.

Are you kidding me???? You realize that the Deming Mainstreet group was created to try and bring in more business and help current business owners keep their doors open? They are suppose to help businesses, new and old. Most of the people on this board are business owners because they have determination to do it. It takes a lot to risk opening a new business especially in this economy. I don't have the guts to do so. Do you?

My over ten years ago my parents had Reedy build them a new house, and they have had no issues more recently my aunt & uncle had a home built by Reedy in the Golf Course subdivision. They also have no issues. I have a co-worker who lives in the Country Club Estates, he has no issues with his home, but he has told some great stories about the Home Owner Associations there. If I ever get to a position in my live where I can afford to build my dream home. I will have Reedy build it.
