The prices ARE better. It took a min, but they got it! The Grand-Opening wasn't until yesterday or today. So it took a while to get all the food in and the prices changed.

Well I hope the one in Hamlin keeps prices down. Same management...hopefully different perspective and are here to serve the community with good quality and that can be met on the budget that nearly everyone is having to follow this day...a tight one!! but I seriously doubt that prices will remain "a good deal" On these tight budgets..business owners get greedy too..They have families to feed too I suppose... we will just have to see I guess.

Some people can't handle the concept of free speech. The person antagonistic toward you appears to be a Johnson butt sniffer. Frankly the Johnson family has been terrible grocers. They have knowingly sold tons of rotting food. It won't be different now.

I haven't been in the Hamlin Store, but the Milton Store is both clean and well stocked with Piggly Wiggly kind of stuff. Just like 'lanta, Ga. White Lily Flour, Tender Leaf Tea and all those brands one would expect to find in a well stocked southern grocery store and so necessary for the fine southern food. There is probably no change in the Deli or those kinds of operations. The question is will the Johnson's f**k it up. The probability is pretty high that they will. It is probably the best that it will be until they try another logo to cover their persistent bad management. In the last fifteen years they have had about three different signs over their door and the same persistently bad staff inside. Piggly Wiggly are very conscious of the integrity of their logo. They will yank it if the Johnson's don't measure up.
shame on you

I stopped in there today. I haven't been in there but a few times since it changed over. Piggly Wiggly prices are too HIGH!

Krogers is much cheaper. Worth the drive to B'ville.

I didn't look at the issue of price. I just looked at some brands that we prefer and up until now have been unavailable in local stores.
