uhhh.. instead of posting about it on topix why not go find this "teacher" beat the living sh*t out of her and file a police report and have the dumb broad put in jail.. I'd be doing a lot of damage to this "teacher" if it were my son.. guarantee that!!!

not sure of her name, but there's a second grade teacher, blonde hair, fairly young that screams at the kids endlessly.

I was there to pick up my first grader, waiting outside the office, across from the kids' restroom. This teacher came in from recess with her class, screaming at them. It was a hot day, so the kids were thirsty. Some stopped at the fountain to get a drink, some went into the restrooms. This woman stuck her head in the boys' room, and started screaming the top of her lungs..........HURRY UP! YOU'RE DONE!GET OUT NOW!!!!! Then she proceeded to go into the girls' room and started screaming. She went in all the way, I could hear her plain as day outside in the hallway. She came out of the restroom, and started screaming at the kids at the fountain to HURRY UP.

I have no idea why someone from the office didn't look out and see what was going on. There was no excuse for the way the kids were spoken to.

You wonder why kids are so disrespectful? Have you seen how some teachers (Not all, I know), talk to your kids while they are in school? No wonder kids are rude and hateful. They hear it all day long in public school.

I want to say, that was the last straw for me. That right there made me make the final decision to homeschool.

And I have never looked back..........

We are fairly new to Milton elementary and I have to say I'm not impressed at all with the school, staff, or any of the teachers. Parents of other students are not very friendly either. Public school is such a horrible joke anymore. Our children's lives our being robbed of years they can never get back.

If I still had children school age, I would NOT send them to public schools! There is no way! They have consolidated the schools, there are too many children per school and not enough staff. 6th graders are not mature enough to put with high school students. The high schools are so large, I once had a principal tell me, they don't know where some of the kids are half the time because there are so many places in the school for them to hide! School used to be one of the safest place you could send your children, but not anymore. One of my daughters finally got fed up with the public school and my grandsons have since been going to private school. I would not send a child to public school, I would homeschool them first!

There's a really nice one in Teays Valley, and several in Huntington.

Just don't go to Mountain State Christian school in Culloden. Don't. Don't. Don't.

That's WHERE my child was introduced to hard drugs. The public school rejects are accepted there. They aren't "rehabilitated", they corrupt the good kids that go there for a christian education.

My child said that one boy brought a drink everyday to school. Oh, he would pour out the real soda in the bottle and refill it with liquor. He then would drink on it all morning, and had even passed it around to the other middle school kids.

Public school is better than MSCS. At least in public schools you have many kids, from many backgrounds, both good and bad, and at least your child has a chance to find good friends in a good crowd. But, at MSCS, the group of middle and high school kids are so small, the only friends they do have are the crud kicked out of public schools!

Oh, and most of the teachers do not have a degree in teaching, and the ones that do, just finished some online classes. It's like one huge expensive homeschool. Moms teaching your kids. Your kids will see the difference in what they DON'T know, once they graduate and try to attend college. They will not be prepared.

Be glad that some of the teachers I had when I was at Milton is no longer around. I had 5 that were abusive. My 2nd grade teacher(Ball), my 5th grade teacher(dont remember her name) and 3 - 6th grade teachers(Holtzworth, Zimmerman and Dunlap). I also came across some that were just tuff like Shoffner but she wasnt abusive, she just beleived in a firm hand. However, there were some you could just look at and tell they were as evil if not more so like this one named Maxie but no one was nearly as bad as the 5 I named above. They had no business being in charge of children. Im not someone that normally finds the end of someones life amusing but I have to admit that when I found out Holtzworth died I got hammered in celebration of knowing she will never be able to abuse another child.

Was her name Adelia Ball, short kinda red hair, real old woman was there somewhere between 1980 and 1985? I had her for second grade during the 1981-1982 school year, she was around the corner from Carolyn Blacks room on the right that year. I was in there with Matt Stanovich and Holly Rangale.

Anyway, I'm still trying to remember who that woman was I had in the 5th grade. I hate it when I can't remember all me teachers old names. I had Karen Stowasser for 1st(80-81), Adelia Ball for 2nd(81-82), Mabel Kuhn for 3rd(82-83), I can't remember who my 4th(83-84) or 5th(84-85) grade teacher was...could've been the same woman idk. Then 6th(85-86) Grade my home base was Dunlap, I had Holtzworth for social studies, Zimmerman for Math, Shoffner for Gym, Black for Music, and Ross for Science. Any way, my I remember when Safety Patrol nominations day from the 5th grade teachers rolled around I thought for sure my name would get called because I never got in trouble that whole year and the woman I had when I asked why I wasn't she said "you're a trouble maker, why would I nominate you". Anyway, I left mid way through my 6th grade year, went to a different school because of my parents moving and was a safety patrol the rest of the year at my new school. I find it interesting that I was such a "trouble maker" at Milton Elementary as a student I didn't get nominated but at my new school I was the same person there that I was at Milton and the Assistant Principal thought my behavior was perfectly suitable to make me one. Don't you all think if I wasn't suitable to be one at Milton that I wouldn't have been at the other school??? I mean it doesn't make a big woop now but back then wow. The things that make you go hmmmmmmmmmm right? That's just an example of what type of teachers was around back then. If they had a personal beef with your parents then they took out on the kid. I would love to sit down with Mike Odell who was the assistant principal back then and go over the stark differences in how I was viewed at Milton and the school I went to to see what he has to say about it and if it doesn't make him wonder if it weren't the teachers lieing and playing favorites.

Sounds like this event tramatized you. Have you ever considered therapy? And they say our generation is soft. I had Zimmerman & Dunlap. They weren't bad if you could make them cry instead of them making you cry. Even had Mrs. Civ.(Civerella) that's one tough bia. Cracked her too. You just sound like a candy a$$ pud. Btw, I do want fries with my order.
