Why do some parents think they don't have to use the loop to drop off their kids?

Instead of waiting in line like everyone else, they drive through the teachers parking lot and drop their kids off there, AVOIDING the waiting in line like the rest of us.

Hmmmm, perhaps this needs recorded and put online or shown to the powers that be.

Instead of posting on topix why not talk to administration. That will go much further than a post on here.

I've seen it happen also. I understand parents are rushed in the mornings, but unless it's an emergency, they can wait in line like everyone else.
I doubt it

As a former student, I doubt your statement. There are nosey people who will tell mr tackett or mr gleason. Idk who is the principal up there anymore.

This is not a school issue, it's an issue with parents wanting to skip the traffic line.

It is a major safety issue as well. When a parent lets their child out in the teachers parking lot, their child must WALK between the cars that are moving in the normal drop off loop. Not safe at all. It's an accident waiting to happen.

Excellent points. It is a definite safety issue and this needs to be addressed with the staff at the school.

If anyone sees this happening, call the offending parent out on it and point it out to the school staff who is outside monitoring the bus loop each morning. This needs to stop.

I use to have to drop off there and another problem they use to have was cars passing in the loop. I almost had my mirrors taken off I saw a couple cars about hit kids that was getting out on the driver side. It was awful. I would write down car description and plate numbers and I turned them into the office. Some of those parents think they are god.

why can't the kids ride the bus? that would eliminate a ton of traffic if people would make their spoiled brats ride the bus.

I agree however days I do not work I do take my kids to school. Every extra minute I can get with my kids means the world to me. If I am home I would much rather spend an extra 20/30 min with them than to push them out the door early. But yes I have friends that have said my kids won't ride a bus cause they don't want them on one.

From the looks of it they'll probably call in SWAT. This is serious fucking business man. Don't act like its not. There are people NOT waiting in line like the others. Did you hear me? There are people that have found a round about way to skip line. This shit needs to be addressed by the most powerful country's military force. This needs to come to an end.

What's the matter, can't get a reliable car to drive and you're jealous? I don't rely on the government to transport my kids around. I'll let those who are less fortunate or who are lazy and bitter at the world (like you) have the seats on the bus.

no,not jealous at all. I have a very nice vehicle. An SUV, as a matter of fact.

Oh, BTW. I homeschool my child. Lazy? Anything but that! Have you ever tried homeschooling? I stay so busy, the lazy way out is to send them to public school.

Just sayin!

oh, wanted to add.......
you don't want to rely on the government to transport your kids, but you will rely on them to brainwash them for 7+ hours a day. The school bus is no where near as bad as them being in the public school system, middle school especially, all day long. I know, I had four other kids go through Milton Middle. NEVER again. My youngest will be homeschooled.

Stop having babies. Gee whiz, 5 kids. I guarantee you get back more in taxes than you pay. It's people like you who burden government programs more than anyone. Get a clue!

sorry to burst your bubble, but kids in the public school system is living a sheltered life. Real world? Shoved in a building with hundreds of kids their age? Hah!

My child IS living in the real world. My child interacts with people of all ages. My child has time to first, be a kid. Second, make friends all over the area, from so many different backgrounds, so many different ages.

I'm not going to get into a debate with you over the crap of "socialization". All I will say, I prefer my child not to be socialized in the public school system where bullying, drug use, sex, dirty language, and isolation, are the norm.

Good luck. And keep a eye on your child. Oh, and their friends. After all, you live in the Milton area. Most kids in this area are drug addicts. And it all starts in the public school system. I know from experience. I have drug addict adult children, who were introduced to drugs at Cabell Midland High School.
