The Ona Speedway had its first race of the season this weekend under new management. There was a good crowd and some great racing. A lot of local drivers did well. Did anyone else on here go?

I agree and I think they will. You gotta have fans to get money. You need money to get more cars. You need more cars to get more fans. They've been promoting it well though. I thought it was an excellent turn out, especially considering it was a holiday weekend.

Races are every other Saturday at 7PM. Next one is June 8th. Tickets are $10 for adults. Kids 10 and under are free. I think ages 11-17 are $7.

There's new management this year. They don't sell beer anymore. The ARCA trucks are gonna be there this week.

The ARCA race is Saturday the 15th. I know ticket prices are a little higher this week than normal. I'm pretty sure general admission is $18, kids are still free and pit passes are still $25.

I race there, hence the name. Of course I'm advertising. The better the speedway does the longer I get to keep racing. More people equals more prize money too. Everyone I've talked to enjoys coming though. I'm not gonna cry if you don't come. It's not for everyone but, if you like racing you'll like it.

I go in the stands to watch the other races when I'm not out there. I could be wrong, I'm not looking for beer. Dave told me he wasn't gonna sell it. That's all I was going by.

It's a family place. Why do you want to go to a family place and drink. Don't get me wrong I enjoy my beer too, but I enjoy my kids too even without my kids there would be other kids around.its not NASCAR it's a local speedway alcohol would eventually be a problem because some young loudmouth that can't control themselves would ruin it for everyone else. I can only assume the new management wants to run a speedway not a local bar. Again I like my beer too but we all know some dik would just ruin it in time.

I agree however I'm afraid it won't last. They should at least allow tailgating
