I served this country for many years. When I graduated from high school I enlisted in the United States Army as 18X Special Forces recruit where I went through Army Aiborne School, Army Ranger School then was assigned to the most elite Ranger Unit in U.S. Army History. The 3rd Batalion 75th Ranger Regiment out of Fort Benning, Georgia. I staid the course with the Army until 2005 and did time in both Afghanistand and Iraq. My next career asperation was to become a Navy SEAL so when my contract came up for re-enlistment with the Army I opted to join the Marines. There I went through basic and Scout Sniper School as the Marines require you go through their basic training regardless of if you are prior service or not. After graduating I was assigned to the 26th Marine Expiditionary Unit Special Operations as an Automatic Rifleman/Sniper then shipped to my unit over sees back in Afghanistan. Due to injuries received in combat my end goal to become a SEAL would not be realized. Now that I am a civilian there is something I take very serious issue with. I take issue with people who have never served in our military walking around wearing parts of our uniforms like they are making a fashion statement. I was in Wal Mart about 30 minutes ago and I saw a girl in there wearing the Army Combat Uniform. First her hair was clearly not regulation length, second, she had no tapes, badges or tabs on the top anywhere outside of a Unit patch that I know for a fact would require a tab with it and the American flag on it. To beat it all about the top, she had it buttoned clear to the collar including the geek button was done and she the had the collar up like she was Fonzy from Happy Days. She was obviously not wearing a belt because the crotch sagged to her knees. While I know that the ACU pants are baggy they ARE NOT that baggy. Next she was not wearing the pants blowsed at the boot, they were pulled down over the boot tops. Finally, she was not wearing regulation boots and there was no hint of an ACU duty cap or beret anywhere in sight. All I am going to say is, if you are not prior service and you still insist on wearing the uniform and drawing the distain and ridicule of me and my fellow veterans WEAR IT PROPERLY. Otherwise those of us who have faught, bled and died for this country would PREFER you not wear OUR uniform at all. While I understand this is a big game hunting state, stick with the old woodland camos, those are perfectly fine for hunting, just DO NOT wear the ACU's, MARPATS or anything else that those of us who HAVE SERVED are currently wearing.

Thanks for your service brother. What do you think of these liberal idiots who protest a conservative president for fighting a war but you never see them protesting when a liberal president fights the same war?Hows that for typical liberal hypocrisy?I just hope they dont put pressure on Obama to abandon Israel. They keep on with this shit they're liable to push this nation to civil war with their political correctness, hypocrisy, etc.I almost welcome it!Im tired of having my rights eroded by these socialists.

The question speaks for itself. As far as fox news , they beat the liberal media combined by double digits, not one on one but combined. What does this tell you ? The majority share the same values. We dont want the liberal agenda anymore.
This is why newspapers are failing, this is why liberal news stations keep inventing things to unseat fox without success. This liberal pc shit is eroding our rights not fox news. A person cant even speak out against certain issues without being stereotyped as a bigot, hater, narrowminded, etc. Take your liberal communism and transport it to the other third world countries like we have become.Since liberalism has permeated our society beginning in the 60s look at society today.Enlightened isnt it.I rest my case on your social trends in and of itself.

As i stated in another discussion i have studied bible prophesy and according to it the antichrist will use the liberal media to unite mankind thru political correctness, multiculturalism and its false gods and a doctrine of tolerance (such as gay agenda ) so as to alienate the christian community. Thus far its working.Notice how christians are being labeled as haters, bigots, etc. The ground work is only now being laid.I can therefore put no blame on conservatives or the christians they support because this is why they oppose this type of liberal agenda as does fox news.If you havent studied prophesy dont consider me ignorant until you've examined it thoroughly. These social trends were forecast by biblical scholars long before i started studying it 40 yrs ago. Romans 1:28 talks about God giving the reprobate minded people over to their own way of thinking. In other words these people will not accept the truth no matter how much is put before them. Sounds like christian hating liberals to me.

Omg would you all shut up. It's a forum about the uniform. Libs(dems) stop bitching bout fox and bush and "conservatives" (reps) stop bitching about, and show some respect to, THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES.

Hey chief, thats part of the problem. To many decent people have remained silent and allowed politicians and liberals to transform our society into a cesspool. The only ones that ever protest are radical libs while conservatives are to damn apathetic and sit on their asses. We got to start somewhere.

No this has to do with anyone, regardless of who they are wearing any part of the uniform as a fashion statement who has not served this country. It doesnt matter if you are poor, middle income, rich, unknown or celebrity, if you did not serve in the military I DO NOT WANT TO SEE THAT PERSON WEARING THE UNIFORM OR ANY PART OF IT.

I take this as a serious slap in the face and as a grave insult to me, those who came before me and those I served with be them living or dead.

Thanks for your service...members of my family have served in the military since the Revolutionary War, the Civil War, WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam, and the Middle East. Being the youngest in my family, and my brother serving in the U.S. Army for over 30 years, I did not serve. But, I loved wearing my olive-drab field jacket in high school and after. I felt that wearing it was showing people that I supported my brother, my family, and all those who served, reminding people to never forget. I'm sorry that it offends you so much, I no longer wear it...but I still respect it.... Peace.

You misunderstood completely, my problem is with these people that go out, buy the ACU's, wear them incorrectly with unit patches and stuff on them that they have no business putting on them to begin with. A prime example is the rapper Curtis Jackson aka 50 Cent wearing full dress blues complete with ribbons and chevrons. In other words stuff THAT IS STILL IN SERVICE as a part of our official uniforms. The O.D. Green field jacket you are refering to went out with the woodland camos so I wouldnt have a problem with that.

You left out the part where you were wearing Michigan sweats and glared at her each time she passed you. Oh yeah, thanks for your service. We're lucky to have people like you fighting for us, even if we don't see eye to eye on this uniform issue. I salute you, sir.
