No. It's apples to oranges in the world of city and town planning which oversees a lot of the municipal aspects of the community. Compare another town similar to IP and it might make sense. Let it go and drive safetly and within the law--like all of us did in Island Pond. That's the best we can do and hope that we won't get ticketed for being good drivers who don't speed, run through stop signs and obey the law...

Did you notice on Channel 3 news last night that Newport is doing a bag campain with its mercahnts to get folsk to come into the city and appreciate it (and be rewarded for doign so?)? Kind of like the Bucky Bucks I mentioned ealier to get folks to come to come back to Island Pond.... I'm finallky hoping to get there Sunday now that the weather has broken a bit. I'm takign the snow tires off the Saab today! It had better break!

FYI--Teddy's legacy lives on...I was told by my car isurance that my rate woudl go up $146 as a result of the ticket I decided not to fight. Seems my 25 year good driving record was tarnished by this "major offense". Way to go Teddy...I really wonder how you sleep nights...I'm guesing alone!
