Thats what I want to know too?? How can a mother just sit back and not doing anything to get her children back. She is just as guilty as he is for not taking action

For you that want to know about the mother...I know the mother too well and she has been fighting for her children for three years. PA Children and Youth Services knew when they put the children with these foster parents they were foster parents that wanted to adopt, so they have not helped Ms. Wantz in any way, shape, or form. Now they tell her time is what is keeping her from getting her children. Children and Youth Services are the ones that took all the time, so maybe the people in PA should really get involved in what kind of agencies are being ran in their state and how they are being ran. I have known the mother for a long time and can tell you all she wanted was children and is a fine person and was a fine mother, but can't even get her kids because of a badly ran agency!

Thank goodness for the foster parents. They are the ones dealing with all this childs issues. As for the father, lets hope he doesn't put anymore children on this earth.

Well, if the mother wanted those two boys back so bad, I am sure her husband had to tell her something about the incidents leading up to thier child's medical difficulties. Why wasn't she mentioned at any of the court hearings? Wouldn't her caring husband had confined in her as to what had happened to thier son when she questioned him in private? Wouldn't a reasonable mother then testify against her husband as to what he had done? This would be the most logical way to show that she still cares for her children, as you claim she does. Also, it is not even comprehensible for someone who lives outside of the state (especially a Marylander) to be blaming child and youth services when they are probably not as knowledgible on thier policies and procedures as one believes. Maybe you should stop believing everything that the "mother" and others tell you. Go out and do some research on your own.

Doesn't anyone bother to think the father is innocent and there is more to the mother not being involved? And the whole story is surely not portrayed in a simple newpaper article?

If there was more to the story shouldn't this guy's attorney bring it up? It seems to me this guy is trying every possible avenue to show his innocense and has yet to do it! If you recall from the mistrial, where the father showed up drunk, his attorney's were trying to say that the ems providers, and/or doctors- all well-trained professional- were responsible for the child's problems. Justice will be served.
P.s. There are steps the mother can take to get her children back, but it won't happen if she could have done something to prevent this from happening!

Knowingtoomuch,
I was at the hearing yesterday and did not see the mother. When i inquired, I was told by a court offical that the mother has not been present at the trial. I question how well you know this mother, as she has not done herself any good by not coming to court on this matter. Most reasonable people are questioning her absence and are shocked at her lack of interest.
