It is nice to see when a company goes out of their way to supply troops with something they need or want. My issue: Why can't a company so massive as they are just ship out cigars or products without having to spend money running ad's to get people to order it. I am in marketing and know what they are doing, they run these Newsweek ad's to promote this idea. So say just with this one article they spend $5,000 a week times 4 weeks is $20,000 they ran this deal for about 5 months which is 100,000. At their purchase cost of $65,000 worth of cigar claimed to be sent, it would be smarter for them just to ship the damn cigars without marketing for the idea.

The conclusion: When they run these ad's they may lose money up front by "you buy a sampler at $5.00 and we will ship the same to the troops". So say their cost is $2.50 each sampler to "you" and "troops" they may lose a buck or so on that order at the end. BUT THEY GET YOU ON THE CATALOG LISTING AND SEND YOU THEIR CATALOGS, EMAIL DEALS, ETC.

So from the 6,000 people that purchase this sampler for "you and the troops" they get to send out 6,000 catalogs and emails. So say each customer of the 6,000 (for the most part is a cigar smoker) they buy ONE $50.00 order a month each --->>>> $300,000 a month in sales. Seems that the perception is bent here a little and that the real cause of all this is for Cigar International Company.

My thoughts!
