I was just wondering if anyone besides myself has experienced frequent rusty colored water. I have been buying bottled water for months.

Thank you for your posts, Jlp and Walter. I see I'm not alone. One more thing I'd like to mention. The water dept. also came here to test our water. They (he)called us and said it was fine. It's so aggravating...I can not help but wonder if he left here with the sample and dumped it outside..Who knows anymore...

We've had the same problem. I was told it was "probably" the bottling company, too.

As an employee of the Marlborough Water Dept. I can assure you the water in this town is very potable. I can assure you the health department would not let us provide tax payers with water that was "not drinkable." Weekly and monthly water tests will prove the fact.

I can not believe that we (taxpayers) pay for water that they say is drinkable, but yet is discolored most of the time. Last week, I was running water to take a bath. I could NOT believe how nasty looking the water was. It was coming out brown!(we should be able to drink it?-I don't even want to bathe in it!) This was at night after using the water most of the day. It's been happening on and off since I moved here.(yes, I have had the water dept. here to see for themselves).
Unfortunately, I have to buy clean water to drink. I don't even give water from my faucet to my dog!

I use a water filter by Pur, the one that has three levels of filtering, or whatever they call it. It's about $40 and I just attached it to my kitchen faucet. I've only had it for a short time, but it seems to work really well.
