I agree with alot of the statements people are making with regards to corruption, conflict of interest, and a few misc. issues. However, one thing that we should all realize is that with Lowell having powerful politicians = city of Lowell getting state, and federal cashola. Yes corruption exists in our City Hall, however as someone stated earlier it exists in most City Hall's. Honestly, we could end up like Lawrence, Worcester, or even Springfield whom are all in some serious crapola when it comes to there respective municipal budgets. The political clout that these "good ol' boys" in Lowell politics is valuable to any city resident. I'm not insinuating there is no corruption, or I agree with what happens behind closed doors. I am simply pointing out the fact that unfortunately with the good - also comes the bad.

Not surprised. Lowell is corrupt from the ground up. FBI should investigate the Police Department as well. They entire city is run by a bunch of degenerate scum.

They can't just pay off old Martha like normal. Hopefully the FBI round up the bunch of crooks and they spend five years in a nice Federal "pound me in the A**" prison. It will save us a bunch of money in pensions.
One they get one or two these scum will start ratting each other out.
