"Milton-Washington Township Fire Chief Scott Hicks said that the fire started accidentally when a combine malfunctioned in a field on the south side of Pottershop Road, between Pennville and Creek roads. The malfunction somehow created a spark that winds quickly whipped into a fire that spread to the north and east, jumping north across Pottershop Road and burning possibly 40 to 60 acres."
