Hi. I have always suffered from attention problems. When I was young, my pediatrician suggested several times for me to be started on something for it, but my family didn't believe it was a real disorder. I was on Vyvanse for 3 weeks back in 2009, when I lived in NO, and it was like a miracle for me. Then I found out I was pregnant, and stopped taking it.
Lately it has escalated in intensity, I can't focus on anything, can't get my mind to stop bouncing all over the place. I am failing classes because it has been so bad. I want to go to a doctor and tell them I need to be put back on the Vyvanse, but the problem is I have no insurance. I have qualified for "medically needy" but with a share of cost of $750, it's of no use to me either.
What I need to know is if there is a doctor who accepts people with no insurance around here that would likely write me a script for Vyvanse the first time I see him. I am struggling too bad to be able to go around dropping money visit after visit looking for a doctor that will help, I simply cannot afford it! Does anyone know a doctor they are pretty sure would be willing to help someone in my position?
