Second great depression has many scrambling on minimum wage

Honestly, I know times are rough, but how can anyone have a life and work for 7 dollars a hour?
Raising the minimum wage only makes local prices jump. In 1997, a snickers bar was 75 cents... In 2008 they are 1.75 and more! This is more then inflation! Whats happening?
