The storm was a mess in more ways than one. WHY wasn't there advanced notification of a planned power outage? I received a phone call from the emergency notification system over 2 full hours AFTER the lights went out. HOW were residents suppose to prepare themselves on a Sunday night when home improvement stores were closed? I, like so many others, bailed through the night trying to stay ahead of the rising water level. It cost me a day's pay because the power wasn't restored for over 14 hours. No explanations, no accountability, no consequences, and once again, no thought of residents and homeowners. It's a disgrace.
