Pesticide spill results in $11K fine

A Mills River farmer will pay an $11,000 fine for a pesticide spill that caused a large fish kill on the Mills River last July.

I canoed the river then and it was nasty. More things than fish died. Calling this a 'spill' is a mis-characterization. Its poor management of employees who maintain and operate the equipment.
