What you said is so true, but the christianity is spelled like this!! I am no grammar police, but you on the end of your forum God Bless you al...(who is al?..lol).. I know you meant God Bless you all, but that is christianity too.. So dont throw stones!! God should be brought up, because he is the only one who can judge!! So, please don't be ashamed folks if you broght GOD up!! He is the one who will take care of these jerks who are turning this into their own personal vandetta!! Without trust these marriages are not real anyway!! Ladies, trust is a great thing. Hooters is a great place to eat!! Try both you will like it!!! This man was the wrong place at the wrong time, He was from out of state. I hope his family doesn't think everyone from Knoxville is like that.Let me start by saying the following.
1) Hooters is a very safe place for families to go to eat, and should not be regarded so disrespectfully as the bible belters are doing.
2) The girls at Hooters are pretty much clean cut girls, and to my knowledge they are not allowed to work as strippers ANYWHERE because of termination risk.
3) THOSE OF YOU WHO THINK MR.SHERMAN DIDN'T BELONG AT HOOTERS AT 1AM: WHAT WAS THE POSSIBILITY THAT HE CAME IN LATE FOR A BITE TO EAT AFTER EVERY OTHER SIT DOWN PLACE HAD CLOSED, AND HAD NO OTHER CHOICE BUT HOOTERS,MOUSES EAR WEST OR THE KATCH??? HE CHOSE HOOTERS WHICH WOULD YOU HAVE PREFERRED???
4) Everyone posting a negative comment should be ahamed of themselves. Those who are trying to pull the whole "CHRISTIANATY" thing should be ashamed. Good christians don't judge people as you are.
5)Some good did come from this awful tradegy: some people on the transplant list got very badly need organs to replace failing ones
6)Don't judge the people who go into Hooters. You never know what kind of jobs the patrons have or when you'll need them. Herbert Moncier is a patron, I know of several doctors and paramedics who regularly go to eat there. Or what about the cops who work there ??? Guess you don't want their services because they might be bad people. GROW UP!!!
All the thoughts and prayers from my family are with Kris Key and the Sherman family. God Bless you al in this hard time

What sort of brain dead person would believe that god is micro-managing the lives of 6.5 billion humans? Did god have a sign outside Hooters saying don't go in, it's against my divine plan? Disobey me and I'll get you wacked. Get real! |

We are all born with an innate ability to know right from wrong. It is just a matter of listening. |

God bless both families for their losses, and my heart goes out to everyone involved. Especially for the wife who is left to raise the 8 children. Does anyone know if any type of fund has been set up to help this family? If so, please post.
God bless. |

It sounds as though SKI feels that he has a personal stake in this. Perhaps he could calm down, find that pesky caps-lock key, and tell us where he's heard these allegations and why he feels such animosity towards Chris Key. He seems to belive that any admiration for Key detracts from our empathy and esteem for Stacy Sherman, which is a peculiar notion.

Ski, There is no reason for you to shout. Kris was never told that this wack job had a gun. Don't you think he would have done something about calling the police????? Kris acted as fast as he could, and locking that door might have been the safest thing he could do. From what I understand the man who passed was already outside, so even if Kris called the police there may not have been a thing anyone could do. This is very unfourtunate to have happened, but there isn't need for people laying blame on anyone, this was already a bad situation, don't make it worse.

Easy to sit back after the fact and guess at what you would do, when it fact 90% of you would have ran like heck. Brings back the joke, 2 guys are in a tent when a bear comes up and tries to get in. One starts putting on his shoes and the other says your crazy ! You can not out run that bear, his reply, I dont have to out run the bear just YOU !
He locked the door, and if you stop by and see where the bullets entered the building you will see it was at the door. So he did risk everything when he could have ran . There is a bullet hole in the bar top. And those trash talking Hotters ? You have not been to hooters, And gonna bet your no better then the next person. |

You make excellent points. I'd like to add one: our standards of courage are way out of whack because we measure ourselves and others against fictional characters on TV and in the movies whose situations and deeds rarely, if ever, occur in the real world. One of the surest signs of real intelligence is to arrange one's life so that acts of courage are rarely called for. If we're smart, we avoid dangerous places and situations. So when violence erupts suddenly, most of us are completely unprepared, and the odds of acting quickly and correctly are slim. Key did, and I salute him. In that moment in time, he was a hero. |

TO Yestohooters when rudd went back in hooters Key told Rudd he did not want to call the police.Rudd said I have A Glock and I am not worried about the police. Why did Key not call the police then?????If ther was police aready working at hooters why was they sent home early before the shooting??????

None of this has appeared in any report that I've seen. Where are you getting this? None of the news reports indicated that Rudd ever reentered Hooters, but began firing after he left. Saying something doesn't make it true. If you don't tell people where your information comes from, they will conclude that you are making it up. One quick note: whether it's fair or not, people give greater weight to posts that are well written. That includes formatting (a space after every punctuation mark would be a good start), capitalization, grammar, spelling, and how well sentences and paragraphs are organized. This is a first draft medium, and we all make mistakes (my typos are legendary). But if you want most people to take your views seriously, you should look over your posts and fix the most obvious errors before hitting that "Post Comment" button. |

I owe SKI an apology--I didn't look over fridays Sentinel article closely enough. My comments about his writing stand, though. It is hard to take someone's views seriously when he writes so poorly.
