The Amish Country in Berlin,Ohio,Sugarcreek,Ohio and Millersburgh. Are getting a bad rap on running Puppy Mills. I was wandering how I could obtain a Blacklist of such places. Is the Hillside Farm Kennel on this list? And A Breeder known as Marvin Miller (in Berlin,Ohio)who only sells Shih-Tzu Puppies. I was Very Distrot to learn of such things are going on in this Amish Comuniity it`s an Outrage and makes me Very Sick, among many others.

Please don't support Amish Puppymills. Always researcher breeders name on google.Never make a purchase online.A redflag is multiple breeds.Ask for vet references. Adopt a rescue.

hey here is what i can tell you to look for
a bad breeder will
sell more than 2 breeds
sells designer dogs (MIXING BREEDS)
parents arent there for you to see (its common for the dad to not be there)
pet shop puppies (most came from the puppy mills even is the pet shop owner swears they dont)
ask to see vet certificate of health if none is provided walk away could cost you hundrends or thousands down the road
yes what the amish and others are doing is evil
anyone who participates in this is evil
its all about the money
no need to breed....just stop the breed

Does Berlin Pets support the puppy mills? Very nice people working there seemed to really care about the care of the animals he made my children set and hold the puppies in chairs was scared for the puppy benefits! Purchased a puppy from there in great health all health records and a health guarantee! Just wondering saw all this puppy mill stuff and had me wondering! I just would never think of them to do so!

We bought 2 of our dogs from Berlin Pets. The people there are very nice and they do care about the dogs there. It seems like as fast as the dogs come in they are being purchased. The last few times we have been there the inventory has seemed very thin.. They are reputable people with great testimonials. Every time we visit Amish we always go to berlin pets to play with the puppy's.

Just took my Mom to Sugar Creek yesterday and purchased a Maltipoo puppy. The Amish lady was very rude and the poor puppy was very dirty and had many many fleas. When asked what kind of puppy food to feed him, she replied " Just feed him whatever. Nothing special." Well, we got about 5 miles down the road and he got car sick. It was obvious that this poor little guy ate anything he could get ahold of. Needless to say, we will never ever buy anything Amish again. Just thankful my Mom has the puppy now and he has a good clean loving home.

To investigate breeders, etc. go to http://www.aphis.usda.gov/animal_welfare/
Click on "View AWA Inspection Reports". There you can enter search criteria such as state and weather you want to see breeders or dealers or whatever. When the search completes you can clicknon their certificate number and see all the inspection reports.

We adopted two Fox Terriers from Berlin Pets five years ago. They were litter mates (brothers) and the last two in their litter. We have never, ever regretted bringing them home! We even named one "Yoder" after the store owner! Our vet was very impressed with the immunization records that came with the puppies and how healthy they both were. Mr. Yoder told us what the puppies were eating at the time and his children were very careful and respectful with all the puppies in the store. Today they are a healthy and happy part of our family and very spoiled! I recommend Berlin Pets to any one seeking to adopt a puppy!

I'm sure the owner is MORE than nice.. How much did you pay for this pup?? C'mon. Car salesmen are nice too. WHERE did he get the pups? Berlin/ Sugarcreek is PUPPY MILL Central. You all are supporting puppy mill by buying these pups. Your pups parents are suffering. Congrats you're continuing the abuse. Supply and Demand. It's that simple.

we have two dogs that we purchased from berlin pets. I agree with others that the folks there care for the dogs they have for sale. They called to check on both of our new girls and made sure we had all the information available for their vet visit at home. Vet visit went well and vet was pleased with the health of both our girls.

Where did you go too in sugar creek? Were looking for a puppy now but not sure where too get one from. I would like to know some places to avoid. I mean do you just drive by these places and stop there or do you have to have appointments?

The amish are sick and pterverted. Child molestation and abuse are rampant in there sick little cult. Don't buy anything from molesters myself but hey it's you're conscience and soul if you do!!!
